Today was the day and by that I meant I finally woke up myself. As I lifted my head up hearing the faint sound of birds chirping outside my window but the noise was soon overrided by the sound of my shower. I took a fairly quick shower this morning not wanting anything to make me not ready by the time my children show up. Once out of the shower I dried off and brushed my teeth. I would've done my hair but I'm gonna be in the pool anyway so I don't see the point. I walk back into my room, with a towel around my waist, looking through my closet. I found a green shirt and figured that would do, although I couldn't seem to find my trunks. I started looking around my room but to no avail.
"Looking for something?" A voice appeared behind me, it was non other than Adrain and coincidentally in her left hand, held my trunks.
"Where did you find them?" I asked, taking them as she hands them to me. She giggled softly, shaking her head.
"They were in the hallway," She replied, looking around my musky room.
"Well thanks, I'm gonna get changed," I say, she nods and heads out of my room, probably going downstairs. I then proceeded to put on my trunks and head downstairs with are pool bags. She sat at the table eating a Milky Way, I then walked over to her snatching it.
"Hey jackass, I was eating that," She blurts out almost immediately.
"This isn't breakfast," I add, tossing the rest of it in the trash.
"Whatever mom," she scoffs, grabbing a pop tart. I just roll my eyes at her, setting the bags near the front door. Soon after multiple aggressive knocks can be heard from the front door, I walk over opening it, looking at the rest of my brats.
"Ready this time Steve?" Dustin asks, being oddly cocky.
"Yeah yeah Henderson we're coming," I say, grabbing my bag and Adrain grabbing hers. We all walk over to my car, getting in. Adrain got shotgun again, as she was the oldest of the children. While the kids were 14, Adrain was 15 and I was 17 so she wasn't always just a kid, she was like a mini me. Once everyone was buckled I started driving towards Hawkins pool. Today didn't have as good of weather compared to yesterday's, it was parsley cloudy and probably in the high 80s but still a pretty good day for a any outside activities. We arrived within minutes and piled out, like we've been doing for the last couple of days. The brunette was once again running the front counter, which I later learned her was named Heather. The kids and I signed in and waited for Hargrove. The kids changed and came out of the locker room before Billy did this time, which I was glad about. They all started putting sunscreen on and that's when he came out, walking like he freaking owned the world. Gosh I don't know wether or not to be annoyed or turned on... wait what..?
"Looks like pretty boy didn't chicken out after all," He spoke, once he was a few feet away from me.
"What would I have to be afraid of?" I asked, stepping forward this time, trying to be the dominant one in this conversation. It was almost as if he could sense my uncertainty, taking a step forward as well.
"I mean, you being my dummy and all. It's not everyday that you get to make out with Billy Hargrove,"
"Your practicing mouth to mouth, not making out," I add, placing my hands on my hip, staring at the blonde intensely.
"Yeah but once our lips touch... you'll be bagging for more~," He steps even closer, invading my personal space once again.
"Yeah no, I'm not like whores you had sex with back in high school, your gonna have to try harder than that," I say, half joking.
"So... playing hard to get? I can mange," Billy replies, winking. Once again my cheeks get hot, I could literally feel myself blushing.
"Are you two gonna keep eye f*cking or...?" Adrain shouts over at us, chuckling as Max shoves her playfully. Billy chuckles at her, walking into the pool. The kids follow behind him and I do as well. Once in the pool me and Hargrove go over some of the swimming techniques they learned the last couple of days prior. Then it was time for the lesson everyone... well I should say I was dreading, CPR.
"Ok rats now it's time to learn how to preform CPR/mouth to mouth," Billy says, getting out of the pool, gesturing us to follow. Once everyone was out of the pool he started to explain again. "So CPR isn't as hard as it sounds. It consists of 1 compression per second and as for the mouth to mouth you do every 30 seconds. So I will use Harrington as my dummy," He smiles smugly towards me, causing the kids to give me questioning looks.
"No you will not, I know for a fact you lifeguards have a whole shed filled with dummies for this," I reply, crossing my arms.
"Harrington just lay down,"
"I said I'm not-"
"Lay down" He demanded, I let out a long sigh laying down at Billy's feet. He went down on his knees, before talking again. "So now you want to use two fingers to lift the chin up," he says, as he does it to me "then your gonna pinch the nose so that no air escapes it," he pinches my nose.
"Ok Hargrove I think they know what's next we don't have to-" just as I tried to stop him his lips met mine... well kinda, his mouth was a bit open, pretending like he was blowing air and shit, he then pulled away looking up at the kids.
"You do that one more time and as your doing it make sure the chest rises, that will let you know if the air is making it to the lungs," He then stands up, seeing Heather walk over with a dummy, I also stand up giving Billy a death glare.
"You had a f*cking dummy!"
"Aye I used you for mouth to mouth, I need this for the compression part," Billy answers, grabbing the dummy from Heather as she walks back to the counter.
"You could've done both on the dummy!" I exclaimed, feeling a little annoyed by the blondie.
"Nah, that wouldn't have been as fun," Billy smirks, placing the dummy down. He then showed all the kids how to do compressions and even let them all try and gave assistance if needed. The hour was finally up and it was time to go, we grabbed are bags and started walking out of the pool area. Just then Billy grabbed my arm.
"What B? Don't you think you've embarrassed me enough today?" I say in annoyance, turning to look at him.
"Well I was wondering if you would maybe like
too-"
"Hargrove hurry up! We have people coming in!" Heather voice came at us like a bullet, Billy just sighed and started walking away. I proceeded to follow behind him.
"What were you gonna say?"
"It doesn't matter Harrington, just go take your kids home,"
"Just tell me wh-" Billy whipped around to look at me, anger replacing what had been smugness seconds ago.
"I said forget it," He practically spat at me, walking over to Heather, I frowned a bit but made my way to my car. Once inside I pulled out of the parking lot just as people were flooding in. The kids were silent this time, they usually would go on and on about how they were gonna spend there summer but not a word. Today they went off and did there own thing while I chilled at home. As nightfall came and I was curled up in my blankets the only thing I had on my mind was what Billy was gonna ask me and why he wouldn't just tell me after being interrupted. I decided to sleep on it figuring my question maybe answer in the morning at swimming lessons.

Author~Hey! I know I haven't updated any of my books in a while and I'm sorry. I have family in town and have been spending time with them. This chapter also took me some time to write. I Lowkey wrote this at 3am because that's the only free time I had. I hope it doesn't suck... I love you all! Stay safe ❤️
