You made it back to the apartment building with the adrenaline still pumping through your veins. Getting your keys out you quickly open the door and rushed up to your apartment hoping that Ben didn't make it there before you did. You feared for Jeff. Once inside your apartment you frantically look around and started to call out to Jeff. There was no response. You began to panic, as you checked every room in the apartment and there was no sign of Jeff or Ben. You dashed out of the apartment to go looking for them, but as you made it down the street you found them walking together looking concerned.

"Hey (y/n)! Are you okay?" Jeff ran up to you and embraced you. You were relieved that Jeff was okay but there was still the matter of dealing with Ben. As he walked closer you put up a defensive stance between Jeff and Ben. Your expression was full of hatred and anger.

"Don't you dare take another step!" You raised your voice at him. Ben looked completely dumbfounded and confused. Jeff has the same expressions as Ben.

"(Y/n)? Why? What's wrong?" Ben asked. You were pretty mad, Ben was acting as if nothing happened.

"Oh acting like you don't know! Really dumb of you Ben!" The boys were now very very confused. Jeff places a hand on your shoulder in hopes of calming you down and to get some answers.

"Babe what's going on? What did he do?" Jeff questioned. You then began to explain what you experienced with your last encounter with Ben.

"Ben has been playing with us since day one Jeff! He wants to not only kill Shape Shifter but you as well just so he can get to me. I don't know why he has revealed his plan now but I think he has finally cracked." You explain to Jeff. He couldn't believe what he just heard and so couldn't Ben.

"What on earth are you talking about (y/n)?!" Ben defends himself. Jeff was still shocked by this new development.

"I can't trust you anymore Ben. As I said before you are kicked out of the apartment" you told him. Bens' jaw dropped in shock.

"This is crazy! Jeff back me up here you trust me, don't you?" Ben looked at Jeff for help. But Jeff's expression showed no emotion, only emptiness.

"Now I get it. It was your idea to go look for her. Your idea to split up so we could cover more ground. Was that just a way to do what she said you did?" Jeff spoke in a low voice. Ben was now getting more annoyed than shocked.

"Jeff, are you serious?!" Ben raised his voice. You were getting tired of Bens act, Jeff was now upset and this needed to end now you thought.

"Ben, you need to leave! Like I told you. We can't trust you! Especially knowing the fact Jeff said you went into the direction of the park" you exclaimed. At this point Ben wasn't getting through to you and now Jeff believes the crazy story, everything was messed up. Ben sighed in defeat and looked back at you with a sour look.

"Fine I'll leave but I will prove that it wasn't me!" Ben states as he turns around and heads off back to the park. You lower your arms and take a deep breath to calm yourself. As you are turning around to face Jeff he immediately wraps his arms around you and pulls you close into an embrace.

"Don't worry, from now on I will protect you" Jeff mutters in your ear. You feel comforted by the sound of Jeff's heartbeat as you slowly wrap your arms around him. After your moment Jeff starts to escort you back to the apartment and as you arrive at the door you turn your head to look out into the distance. You sighed in despair as now you just discovered Ben's true intentions.

Bens P.O.V:

I dash down the street angry and very upset it was to the point where some tears were actually shedding. Why did you believe her Jeff? Why did you think I would even do such a thing? After all of there years of friendship I would have thought you would have trusted me by now. No, he is blinded by the love he has for (y/n). Honestly, if she wasn't my friend too I would have given her a piece of my mind. Even if I wanted to I couldn't, my powers are fading and fast. Soon I come across the park where supposedly I committed that horrible act on her. I found a nearby swing set and decided to sit down there. The sounds of the creaking swing set always seemed to calm me down oddly enough, but now with no place to go and no tea to keep my powers going its only a matter of time before I run out. I see my skin turning grey again and my body feeling heavy, at this rate I may only have two days left before I die. Which means Mindfreak will escape and win. No, I can't let that happen! As I start to stand up from the swing I hear footsteps coming from behind me, I turn around and I hear some slow, sarcastic clapping echo.
