The next day at school, Izuku arrived much too early. Not even the teachers had gotten there yet except for Nezu, who let Izuku in, not wanting the problem child to get cold outside.
Once the bell had rung and most of the students were there, Aizawa entered the classroom like a caterpillar.
Throughout the class, Izuku kept glancing at Denki, which the blond picked up on after Izuku had been staring for 4 minutes straight. Denki winked at him, and the small boy's face flushed redder than Kirishima's hair.

When lunch arrived, Denki invited Izuku and Shoto to get food. Shoto being the tease he was, turned it down saying he had to catch up on some work. He only did say it because he knew that Izuku liked the blond, and he wanted them to get together.
So, Denki and Izuku grabbed lunch and sat outside, underneath a huge cherry blossom tree. Izuku accidentally sat so their arms were touching and was pleasantly surprised when Denki wasn't against it.
"So like, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but why are you and Todoroki so close? You guys said you got introduced through a mutual friend, but you're like really, really close for a mutual."
Izuku hesitated to answer, only because Denki seemed to be able to pick up on even the smallest things.
"Um, I-I mean, usually people don't become that close just because they a mutual friend, but I guess we just really hit off? Like, we just had a lot in common, so um, y-yeah."
Denki just nodded his head and continued to eat, while Izuku was overthinking anything and everything humanly possible.
After a few minutes of silence, Denki glanced over to the boy on his left. He smiled very softly, a bittersweet smile as if he were looking at Izuku for the final time.
Denki was just observing Izuku, thinking of how to start a conversation. "Hey, Mido, so, do you like, maybe want to play twenty questions?"
Izuku peered up at him, "Sure! You can go first." He beamed at the boy who had grown very fond of in the past day.
Denki cheeks dusted with faint pink, "Okay. Hmm, what's your favourite holiday?"
The small boy's face lit up more a than it already was, "Oh, this one's easy! Obviously Halloween! It's the best day of the whole year! You get o dress up, and you get free candy! Free! Candy!"
Denki was surprised by his enthusiasm at first, but then reminded himself that it was, in fact,
Midoriya who is enthusiastic about everything. Both boys had rosy cheeks that were hardly noticeable in the shade from the cherry blossom tree.
Izuku sat, pondering what question he could ask the boy sitting next to him without seeming too invasive. "How come you enrolled in UA?" He asked with a glint in his eyes.
Denki thought of how to respond, a look of great sadness crossing his face, gone the second it appeared. He knew he couldn't tell him all of the real reason, Izuku would think he was a freak, and he would tell everyone, then he wouldn't have any friends, again.
"I wanted to help save people from villains." He responded with a gentle smile that triggered Izuku's gay panic, but at the same time made him feel ever so slightly guilty that he was a villain, and infiltrating the school.
"Such a noble guy you are Kami." Izuku said, sarcasm dripping from his every word.

The two teens continued asking each other questions back and forth for the remainder of their lunch.
Once lunch was over, they went back to class, feeling that they could easily call one another their friend. Izuku and Denki even exchanged numbers.
Between every few classes, Izuku would get a call from someone back at the league, this time it was Toga.
An excited squeal came from Toga's side of the phone, causing Izuku to fully extend his arm to preserve his hearing, and glare at his phone as if it had burned him.
"Yes, I know I know, I get it Himi! I have a crush on Kaminari, we've been over this. Last night to be exact!"
"Okay fine. Maybe I am a little too excited, but that doesn't matter! You know that everyone is really happy but overprotective when it comes to you having your first crush Izu!" Toga practically squealed at him.
"Yeah okay, but I have to get to class now, you know I can't be late. Bye Himi!"
"Hmph. Bye-bye baby bro!"
"Himiko, for the last time! I'm not a baby!" Then he ended the call. 'Sheesh, can't a guy get a break around here? Like seriously, I'm 15 now, that is not the age of a baby. My god." He thought to himself, or rather, mumbled to himself.
"What're you mumbling about now nerd?" A rough voice spoke.
"Eek! Oh my god Kacchan! You scared the crap out of me." He replied, muttering the last part. "And um, I wasn't really mumbling anything important, either."
Katsuki's eyes narrowed like he was trying to figure out if Izuku was lying to him or not, before walking past him, deliberately shoving his shoulder into the other boy.
Izuku walked towards his classroom, not paying any attention to the angry pomeranian's attitude. He took his seat as Aizawa rolled in in his sleeping bag.
The rest of his time in school was rather boring to him, learning about different heroes and what made people like them so much. He really didn't see the appeal in heroes.
Being a villain was fun and exhilarating, knowing that you could be caught at any time and put in prison for possibly the rest of your life, but doing it anyway.
He guessed that all of his classmates would never know what it was like, and he almost, almost, felt bad for them. But he made it his goal to never try to relate or sympathize with any hero, it would make it easier to beat them up later, or possibly kill them if he had to.
And he just so happened to be in a class full of exactly that, heroes.
Hewo lovely people!
