Humanity is full of, and even built upon, the myths and legends of the past.
These things, even today, filter through our society. Their words appear on our shirts and jewelry. They appear on our money, and in our cities. We praise some as religions, and others as old mothers tales, that while you know in the back of your head is false, is still enough to scare you from walking underneath a ladder.
What the most important ones are, completely depends on who you ask. Some will say the Norse gods, like Thor and his father, and the ultimate end of Valhalla. Others may say the Greek gods, the fearsome Zeus, powerful Poseidon, and other related gods, and their demi-god offspring. Others will say the gods of Christain, or Buddhist beliefs.
But when it all boils down to it, how can we positively say that all of these gods, and all of their origins are not the same?
Because they are.
The origin story has been twisted over the years as the decades and centuries pass, as all things do. No matter what, word of mouth and writings will both warp as they continue, no matter how hard you try to preserve them.
But it's rumored that in the beginning. There was no "day" or "night" for any planet. There were only two gods, the god of the Dark, and the god of the Light.
But the god of the Dark got greedy, and soon began fighting with the god of the Light for more control over the universe.
The god of Light, in retaliation, started making more gods and goddesses, destined to control more items of the universe, designed to help her win the battle. And as such, so did her counterpart.
And so they sparred for years, the destructive heaps of the battle getting thrown to the dark end of space, and coming into themselves as the planets we know now.
The fighting only officially stopped when both sides were at a draw, and decided that giving peace and freedom to their people was better than forcing them to continue fighting for the rest of their lives, over a war that had long lost its meaning.
What happened after that is highly debated, some say the gods broke off into the fractions that now make up the modern tiers of myths. Some say they physically became Earth and the solar system.
But of course, it's not a far fetch to assume that they all live on one planet now, protecting the universe from chaos.
After all, it's all just Myths and Legends in the end, right?
