Good day believers I trust that you are all well during this time. I greet you all in the wonderful, most precious name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Today I wanted to talk to you about testimonials. Sometimes some of us forget what a testimony is. We forget that when your pastor asks the church "what do you have to be thankful for?" You would cross your fingers and hope that no one asks you or maybe you put your head thinking about every other problem in your life that makes you forget that God was the one that made you open your eyes to see the ceiling of your bedroom or made your heart increase when you feel something as beautiful as love.
Now the person I'm about to talk about might have done some daring stunts that may be true or might have been false but he helped me in getting this message across today.
This man's name was Tim Fierde, please do correct me if I'm wrong. He was a man that injected so many different types of venoms from different types of snakes and from the least venomous to the ones that could could kill you before you could say "oh no".Eventually his body was immune to all the different types of venoms. But this miraculous discovery doesn't stop there...it turns out that his blood was used as an anti-venom to people who were dying of different types of venomous snakes.
To me that was pretty cool!!
But anyway, in my opinion a testimony shouldn't be a way to boast about God. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT...but let's just say it mustn't take the whole percentage, but let's just say that a testimony should be an anti-venom. Something that motivates others to continue going on with life that no matter how awful it feels to have that venom burning us from within...
There's a God that's greater than darkness in the world and he will definitely send us an anti-venom!
2 Timothy 1:8 so do not be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather join me within suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.
Believers, let me just remind you of one thing that, the road ahead is going to be rocky, you going to cut yourself, bruise yourself, shake, tremble and fall but you're not going to knock out and you are definitely not going to give up we as children of God are soldiers, unique and made in his glorious image..so after the war you are going to have many healed scars..
As I said before don't let them be a tragic memory but a glorious victory to know that you got through it with your Father. Those scars on your arms and legs were made to win souls...is that not our mission for Christ?
So I encourage you to role up your sleeves and let those scars be shown...for don't be ashamed it takes one step of bravery to make the heavens rejoice!
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father we come before you through no other name but your most precious and glorious name of your son Jesus Christ. We come before you as humbly as we know how and we ask you for the forgiveness of our sins.We thank you for everything you've given us from the very breath of life to beyond. We ask you to give us the bravery to come out to the world and show them who our God is..May we dance and sing praises everywhere we go without feeling a drop of shame.
We love you and we give you all the glory and honour you deserve. Cover this prayer with your blood covering..
In Jesus Name we pray
Amen
