What should we do with him?"
"I don't know. Do you have anything in mind?"
"Maybe."
I woke up though I kept my eyes closed, trying to hear what the two faint voices were saying. It was not a lot. Suddenly I realized I was not in a normal bed. I was tied down. I opened my eyes, looking around and seeing I was in my mom and dad's lab. The white walls and counters were now covered in thick red blood and oozy green ectoplasm. I looked around and saw smiles on my mom and dad's face as they laughed. I started to panic and tried to get free but I couldn't. Then, I heard a third voice. It sounded like Jazz.
"Mom, Dad, have you seen Danny? I can't find him anywhere."
"That's odd. Well, did you check Sam's house or Tucker's?"
"Yeah, but they haven't seen him either."
As I listened to my family talk about how I was missing, I could not keep it in anymore. I screamed and started to pull at the restraints. I closed my eyes and suddenly felt like I was falling. When I opened my eyes again I saw that I was. I was falling out of the sky. I tried to transform but I couldn't. I couldn't do it. That's when I started screaming again. The ground rushed at me at high speeds and the next thing I knew, I was standing in a pitch black room with walls all around. My heart was racing badly. I felt like my body wanted to give in but I knew I would not allow myself to let go until that killer was put in jail.
The walls slowly started to move closer .
"YOU'RE NEXT!"
The voice played over and over in my head. I looked up and saw the little girl on the ground. Then, I saw myself over her smiling with blood on my hands. I backed up until I hit someone. When I turned around, I saw that it was a small boy and he was all wet. There were dark rings around his eyes and his blond hair clung to his face and the green shirt he wore stuck to his small frame. He mouthed words I could not hear.
"Sorry, say that again." My heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest.
"You're next," the boy said as a little girl showed up behind him. She had a ripped pink dress and long, blood stained curly hair. She didn't have shoes, only a brown teddy bear. The eyes of the bear were not matching and it felt like he was watching me.
A wave of dread washed over me and I fumbled back, holding my chest. I looked back up and they were gone, the walls still getting closer. They were getting even closer when I screamed and closed my eyes shut tightly. I bolted up, opening my eyes wide. My heart was still racing and when I looked around I was in my own room.
I looked at my computer. 'YOU'RE NEXT.' I fell off my bed and crawled to the door. It opened and my mom and dad stood there with that same smile on their faces as the ones they had when I was on the table. Then the little boy showed up again but with a colorful mask on. They grabbed my arms and pulled me. I tugged my arms back, trying to get away, when I let out another blood curdling scream and my eyes opened.
I looked around, seeing my mom shaking me telling me to wake up. I pushed her away and fell to the floor before crawling into the corner and curling up.
"Don't hurt me! Please don't hurt me!"
"Danny, sweety, we won't hurt you. You were having a nightmare."
I looked up and saw her face melt away. My eyes went wide again. Her bones shown through the melting flesh.
Suddenly, I was being shaken. I opened my eyes for the third time to see Sam and Tucker. I began to cry. I didn't even try to hold it back, I just let it all out. I cried and cried. Sam put a hand on my shoulder.
"It was just a nightmare. Don't worry, it wasn't real."
I looked at my room in disbelief. Something caught my eye. On my computer desk laid a mask. The same colorful mask the dead boy in my dream had on. I started to breath deeply.
"Are you okay, dude?"
"Where did that mask come from?" I asked nervously.
My mom entered the room and saw me. She was smiling sweetly, but I could see the worry on her face.
"Your friend brought it over."
I looked at Sam and Tucker. They just held their hands up as if saying it wasn't me. I looked at my mom.
"What friend?"
"You know the one with blond hair and green outfit. He seemed like a nice boy. He said it would make you feel better."
I looked at her for a long time. No one spoke a word until I broke the silence.
"Mom, I don't have a friend with blond hair."
