Third person Rowan PoV:
Well this was it. They were here now. No going back. Rowan looked as if he were having an error message go through his head. As if he were a computer trying to keep up and figure out whatever you were trying to do on it.
The house wasn't that bad. Decently sized, nice colours that went well with each other and a decent front garden. Rowan was curious and eager to explore each and every corner of this new house. Because he needed it know it inside and out before he would begin to settle down.
"So this is it..." Aaron's voice dragged off as he drifted to Rowan's side.
"Yep, it sure is" Rowan replied not really functioning enough to give a better choice of words to the small younger sibling beside him.
"Sounding a little brain dead" Aaron attempted in a joking tone.
"Very funny" Rowan rolled his eyes for dramatic effect.
"Come on! Let's go chuck our junk in and explore this place already" Aaron cheered as his voice became distant, as Rowan looked up, as he ran away towards their new house.
"That kids gonna downright refuse to grow up..." Rowan chuckled airily.
-skippy skip-
Moving all of these boxes is exhausting!" Alex called form somewhere within the house.
"Tell me about it!" Aaron called back.
"My back is dead!" Connie hollered.
"I stopped trying!" Marc called out, clearly amazed at everyone effort.
Rowan just rolled his eyes and continued unpacking.
Unpacking is exhausting.
Rowan began to think to himself. If he was left alone for too long he would begin to think. He didn't see a pattern on what he thought about and he would often jump topics, but he'd think. And he'd think hard.
Suddenly he was snapped out of his thoughts by Aaron screaming for dear life as Marc chased him around every nook and cranny of the house. He and his two remaining siblings laughed and laughed as the chase dragged on and on.
"Help me you idiots!!!!" Aaron yelled panting left right and centre because he had been running for far too long.
"Get back here!!!" Marc yelled threateningly.
Rowan just kept laughing his ass off as his two siblings desperately tried to calm down in the background.
Eventually Aaron collapsed on the floor and Marc placed his foot on Aaron's back a little carelessly, but still not enough to harm him in any way. Aaron groaned below Marc in defeat, and hiding the annoyance terribly.
Marc just tutted and pressed his foot a little harder into the younger ones back.
"Get off!" Aaron basically yelled, to his lips were right up against the floor.
"Aww, but I'll disturb your make out session with your girlfriend!" Marc yelled teasingly.
"You son of a-!!" Aaron yelled managing to flip over, then he yanked Marc's leg sending his crashing to the ground on his back. It was a sight to see.
"My god!" Rowan yelled through fits of laughter.
"I swear on my life if you're fighting each other with physical violence again!" Their mother yelled threateningly.
"I don't know why we're scared of her, we could probably harm each other more than her anyway" Connie shrugged as everyone else chuckled.
"We should get back to unpacking" Alex stated in a monotone voice as to not bust out laughing again.
And that's what they did for the next few hours. Half of their time was spent being productive, the rest being them all just goofing off and laughing. But they were getting things done.
Alex and Connie were automatically sharing a room. They picked one of the medium rooms because they didn't want too much space because they wouldn't know what to do with it. Aaron being the youngest took the smallest room, they let him pick any room and he chose that one anyway so Rowan and Marc had freedom of choice.
Rowan picked the highest room, the attic room. He'd always been obsessed with having an attic room. And finally he had one. In height it wasn't the biggest but in size it was the biggest room. So Marc, a little reluctantly took the final remaining room. His parents had obviously had first pick.
Rowan was excited to begin unpacking his room and making it up to his aesthetically pleasing level. Course that was going to take a while but he didn't seem to mind too much.
They all had around a week to get settled in before school started for Rowan and Aaron. They weren't really sure what the other three were going to do, but with any luck their parents would make them get jobs already. But Alex and Connie sometimes mentioned they're jobs, but no one really believed the existed.
"Welp a portion of the hardest parts are done now" Marc stated, hands on his hips and all.
"Yep it sure is" Rowan replied back half focused.
