Chapter 39 - Murder mystery

The room was filled with people dressed up as different things, firemen to pirates, ghostbusters to hogwarts students. Now it would've been fine if the firemen had shirts on and hogwarts students had longer skirts but oh well. Toxic by Britney Spears blasted in the background as you all chatted amongst yourselves, other hero's showed up, Sam was a policeman and Rhodey was a pirate. Even Stephen showed up as an evil doctor. Taking a bite of the ghost cake pop you held you listened to Hill and Nats conversation.

"So, Y/n," you raise a brow at Hill who smirks. "What's with you and Horns?" You look to where Hill was pointing to see Loki chuckling softly at his brother antics.

"Complicated," you mumble with a smile.

"Good complicated? Or just not bad complicated?" Cat Nat asks as she looks at Loki.

"Not bad complicated, we are on good terms," Loki turns to face you with a smile, you give a small wave back.

"What happened when you go back? Are you even going back?"

"That's what I don't know," you say with a conflicted smile. Loki leaves his brothers side and walks over to you. "Hey there, Antlers,"

"Ladies, may I steal the vampiress from you?" The girls nod and push you forward.

"How may I help you, Prince Loki?" You ask as you take his arm.

"I've grown tired of my oaf of a brother and wish for the company of a more civilised person," he says with a soft grin making you laugh.

"That's a fair reason," you both walk to the bar and take a glass of punch. You both engage in conversation about little things, it was simple and enough. Soon you felt the need to use the restroom so you excuse yourself and leave. Walking into the bathroom you see a few girls in playboy bunny costumes all taking selfies. Using the bathroom and quickly freshening up you walk back out to the bar to see a woman in a sexy nurse costume flirting with Loki who was nervously chuckling. Putting on a bright smile you walk over to Loki and kiss him on the cheek. "Hey, babe, whos this?" The girl blushes red.

"Sorry, I didn't know he was taken," she quickly excuses herself and walks away from you both.

"Babe?" Loki asks with a mischievous smirk. "Is that what we are?"

"I-if you want it to be..." you stutter at the sudden question.

"I'd like that," a grand smile forms on your lips as Loki kisses the back of your hand. Intertwining your hands you walk over to Nat and Bruce.

"Looks like you both finally got together," Nat takes a sip from her drink.

"Looks like you finally accepted that date with Bruce," you counter making Natasha choke on her drink, that was a first.

"Touché," she growls.

As the night continued everyone eventually gathered around each other and chatted casually. A sudden scream broke out startling every guest. Jumping off the couch you quickly run over to the source of noise, pushing guests out the way you enter the bathroom to see a body lying bloodied and bruised on the floor.

"What happened?" You asked the woman who was crying by the door.

"I just walked in and he was dead!" She cried, something was off though. Moving around the body you check the persons pulse to realise they were still alive. Checking the bruises you notice that the blood was too tacky to be real... opening the cupboard under the sink you notice a bowl of warm fake blood. Tony quickly walks in holding notebooks and pens.

"Tony, what the hell is going on?"

"Murder mystery party!" You roll your eyes and clean your hands in the sink. "Everyone who wants to play get in groups!" A few guests eyes light up as the avengers all look into the bathroom.
