I sat on a bench in the ground. Oxygen was not ready to enter into my nose. How can someone stoop so low to take revenge! I doubted his gene. I know Shanaya, his sister. I know Nyonika Ma'am, his mother, who are completely different. I was in complete shock, just when a hand started to pat my back. I got shocked and threw out the hand and looked at the person.
OH MY GOD! My thoughts of Maddy almost evaporated. Those eyes and the intensity in those eyes asked me to shed my hidden tears and I did. He didn't pat me anymore, may be he felt bad when I threw out his hand. But he said me, "You can use my shoulder!" Although I didn't but I wanted to because I was very much thankful to him.
Boy- "I deserve a Thanks at least!"
Me, "Thank you..."
Boy- "Manik...Naam to suna hoga!"
I, again in an irritated tone, "Nah...Nahi suna!"
Manik(Boy)- "Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just ke mein SRK(Shah Rukh Khan) ka bada fan hoon!"
Me, silently, "Mmm!"
Manik- "Lagta hai tumhe pasand nhi aaya! Fine...Let me try again! My name is Manik and I'm not a terrorist!" Listening to this, I chuckled and even he, on seeing me smiling after those hated tears.
Me, with a smile, "Of course you are not a Terrorist. Or else tum mujhe uss Terrorist se nhi bachate!"
Manik- "But finally, you smiled!"
Listening to this, I just retained my senses which were lost in his eyes and said, "By the way Mr..."
Manik- "Manik Malhota!"
Me, "Mr. Malhotra, I should leave. Class hai. and thank you for saving my life!" I know, I sounded professional. Saying this, I stood up and started walking towards the class, just when he called me, "Miss...Apna naam toh batate jao!"
I turned back and replied, "Sayad it's not much needed!" And left. May be I should have said my name but I didn't. May be because I didn't want to get lost in those eyes, actually in the intensity of those eyes. I left for the class.
I entered the class and found that it was Math class. Okay! RSA is not only about playing all the day long, it's also about an English course, Math and Physics of the games and sports and Nutritional class. Gupta Sir wasn't in yet. So, I settled in the first sit with Shanaya. And I found all others with their partners in the last benches. Soon after I entered the class, Gupta Sir also entered. And started teaching Trigonometry with the techniques of using Bat and Ball. Math was my favorite and hence, I was just damn concentrated in the class.
After 5 minutes, suddenly, I asked my subconscious mind, "Did I just hear, 'Manik why are you late to the class?' " I looked up and found Manik standing at the door and replying, "Sir, woh...woh...Jor ki bhook lagi thi, so just went to eat". How silly excuse! He was with me.
Sir allowed him with a warning. The seat near Cabir was empty, so he went and sat there. I could hear Cabir asking him, "Tu sach me khane gaya tha! Tujhe kabse untimely bhuk lagne laga hai?" Manik also replied cleverly, "Chal chhod naa! Abb class pe concentrate kar".
Cabir- "I heard first bench pe bethne wale class pe concentrate karte hein, aaj kal toh backbenchers v class pe concentrate kar rahe hein. Pata nhi kabse humne saanp paal rakhe the!"
Listening to Cabir, I smiled.
MANIK'S THOUGHTS
"God, that girl! I feel attracted now. What shall I do? Should I go near her or shall I stay away from her? Okay Manik, listen to your heart. And your heart says to stay near her. Fine! Then I need to sit near Harshad."
BACK TO NANDINI
Suddenly, the sit behind me made a movement. I looked back and found him sitting with Harshad who was in the 2nd bench as punishment for the day.
I said to myself, how come I never noticed him? He's from my class, Cabir's friend, in fact my friends' friend, matlab kaise! Then I realized that I had always kept myself away from the cheesy stuffs of my friends. And look at Manik, even he must be getting busy with his girlfriend, means, how come such a cute boy cannot have a girlfriend! I always stayed alone in breaks with my phone as Shanaya moved to Abhi Bhai and that actually gives me peace. Oh My God! Why am I thinking of him so much? I should talk to him once it is break or shall not I?
And that's when the Lunch Break started. Damn! Math got over and I didn't listen to anything. Manik!!!!
