Stiles woke up around 6:30 and realized that he was going to be late for school. Quickly, he gathered all of his things and ate his cereal as he put his clothes on. Jeans and a T-shirt. Typical Stiles.
He ran out the door at a quarter to 7 and by the time he got to school, it was 6:55. Jackson parked his expensive sports car in the 1 of the only available parking space that morning. Stiles was forced to park in the back of the lot. The walk would be long, and he knew it. So he grabbed his book bag and made a run for the school.
He unknowingly ran in front of a car but luckily Scott pulled him out of harms way.
"You could've been flattened!" Scott exclaimed.
Stiles smirked.
"You're my hero," He joked.
The boys walked into school talking about lacrosse practice. When they were inside, they looked around for Allison. Normally she would wait in front of the lunch room for them but she was no where to be found.
Scott had a rough night because he spent most of it apologizing to his mom and cleaning the whole house. Of course, Allison was sent home and her dad had a few choice words to say about Scott. He wasn't sure if she would get in trouble but judging by her absence, she probably wasn't going to be at school that day.
Scott leaned against the lockers and scanned the room with his caramel eyes. He looked at a few people before he actually began focusing on a couple of his Lacrosse team members with his wolf hearing.
Danny and Greenberg spoke in hushed whispers.
"Did you hear about those mutant animals at the fair? Apparently someone brought mutated animals to Beacon Hills," Danny said.
"I heard they mauled some chick last night," Greenberg replied.
Scott's heart started pounding. What if that chick was Allison. The bell rang loudly in Scott's ears. He winced and followed Stiles to class.
"Stiles! Did your dad say anything about mutated animals last night?"
"What do you mean?"
"I just heard-"
Scott was interrupted by Lydia laughing.
She sat on a desk top while Jackson occupied the chair. He had his usual smug-yet-intimidating look. The guys sat on the other side of the room to avoid them.
Their teacher, a tall and thin man, named Mr. Harris, entered the room quietly. He assigned a partner project about matching chemical equations with their more common names.
Stiles immediately turned to Scott but Scott was staring at Allison's empty seat. The girl who usually sat next to her was staring at Scott.
They were mouthing some words to each other. And after waiting patiently for a few minutes, Stiles leaned back in his chair and rolled his eyes.
"Scott."
Stiles waited a few seconds and then tapped Scott's shoulder. Scott brushed him away. Stiles was getting annoyed. He pushed Scott a little and called his name again. Scott continued to ignore Stiles. He was doing a lot of that lately. It was like Stiles didn't really matter to him. Sure, Stiles was jealous of Allison. She suddenly came along and took Scott away from him.
And what Stiles felt for Scott was something that he could never describe. He just needed Scott there. It was almost as if Scott were the only thing that he lived for. Well, Scott and Lydia.
Ahhh... Lydia Martin. Her beautiful green eyes and strawberry blonde hair. She was the perfect girl for Stiles. Unfortunately, she only dated douchebags like Jackson.
