Ainsleys POV
I run back to the pack house as quickly as I can. It only takes me about ten minutes to make the three mile journey. I shift and put my now soaked clothes on and head towards the house.
I walk through the back door into the kitchen. I quickly grab a banana and run upstairs to the conference room and open the door quickly.
Everyone's attention is on me and most of them stare up and down my body. I smile and turn around to close the door. My wet hair clung to my back and my clothes which were tight fitting to begin with are now practically suffocating my body.
I walk over and take a seat next to Zach and across from James. James is Zachs beta and is probably one of my closest friends. He was like a brother to me. He looks at me with a disappointed face.
You couldn't have changed at least?
I sheepishly smile. I could have but Zach was practically screaming at me.
He just gives a quick nod as Zach begins to speak. " Thank you all for being here on such short notice. Chase and I have been talking and we think it's best that we train you all together that way we have a better chance of building our strength." He looks around the table as everyone nods in agreement.
Chase stands at the other end of the table. " it's important that all of you respect our wishes and respect each other. I know you guys aren't friends but atleast try and build some sort of relationship so this training process will be easy." He has a twinge if anger and annoyance in his voice.
I sit there quietly just watching the other at the table. I am the only girl here which was normal as not many packs have allow girls to have any kind of authority.
Don't get me wrong. I don't have much of a say when we are in meeting but Zach does like my input. He says 'sometimes it nice to have a different point of view on things'. I usually agree with him but if he's being too harsh for no reason I usually calm him down and find another way to go about things.
They continued talking about their plans with our packs and the training but I drowned them out. I have heard of their pack before and have seen them a social gatherings but I never really interacted with them.
I get out of my daze as Zach continues talking. "I expect you all to be in the field out back in ten. Notify the others. They all stand and begin to walk out the doors. I stay behind waiting for orders on myself and my group. Zach, James, Chase, Chases beta, and myself are left in the room.
I reach my hand out and greet the beta. "Hi, Ainsley" I say as I quickly shake his hand. "Hey, max" we both introduce ourselves and stand back where we were initially.
Chase watches my movements with close eyes. "Ainsley We will be leading with you and you group. We will all train with them. Chase and I call the shots and you help train any of them on things they need to build strength in. Take them aside and don't disturb the training." Zach says in his alpha voice. I just bow my head in agreement.
I head to the living room where I mindlinked my group to meet. There are ten of us that mostly consist of girls. "Hey guys, today we are training with another pack. They will be keeping a close eye on us so I expect everyone to push themselves." I say as they all just nod in response.
We head outside shortly after. We all stand in the rain when Chase speaks. I don't really listen to what he is saying because I am practically drooling over him. His body covered in tattoos only enhance his muscles. His hair now dripping wet as he rakes his hand through it to stop the droplets from falling into his face. His arms flex as he crosses them over his chest and gives out demands. He looks out the corner of his eyes and sees me. I quickly turn my attention towards the fighters. They all say "yes alpha" before they start to run off into the woods.
I look at James completely confused. "Were you even listening?" He questions raising an eyebrow. I let a huge fake smile spread across my face. "Mhmm I thought so. We are kinda playing tag. Our pack are running while they chase us. In human form." He says before running off.
I notice that I am the last one in the clearing and I quickly run in a random direction.
