"Where is Joanna?" Peter asked.

"She's..." Emly stopped.

"So, they're gonna find her and who did this right because I filed one this morning," he said.

"Yes, they will and they're going to question you," she said.

"OK," he said.

"I'm so sorry," she said.

"Wait, how can you be so sure she's dead?" he asked.

"She visited me," she said.

"You can see the dead?" he asked.

"Yes, and she could sense energy shifts," she said.

"How would you know that?" he asked.

"We grew up together," she said.

"OK," he said. "Where are Troy and Julia?"

"They're in the forest although I've told them not to," she said.

"They're teenagers," he said.

"Good point," she said.

"Why didn't you want them there?" he asked.

"You can easily get lost there because there's something protecting it," she said.

"Magic?" he asked.

"You catch up first," she said.

"Yep," he said. "Do you know how she died?" he asked.

"She was hugged to death while she burned alive," she said.

"Jesus!" "Who would do this?" he asked.

"Sadly, it was one of her friends," she said. "She was trying to protect him and this happened," she said.

"I wanna-," he stopped and breathed in.

She sighed. "I know I wanna kill him too,"

"Thank you for telling me, now how am I going to tell Troy?" he wondered.

Julia wept.

"They'll be here soon," he wiped her tears.

"That's not why," she answered.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Wildfire," she said.

"You're lying," he said.

"I wouldn't lie about this," she said.

A car pulled up.

Troy's Dad stepped out.

"Is Mom dead?" Troy asked.

"Get in the car," his Dad instructed.

"Julia, I'm sorry I should've never asked that of you," her grandma said.

"You really shouldn't have," Julia agreed.

"Is my Mom dead?" he asked.

"She is," his Dad said.

"I can't-," he said before drifting off.

Genevieve looked at the clock and then heard the bell.

William stood up and walked to her desk. He waited. "Ready?"

"As ready as I'm ever gonna be," she answered.

"OK," he said.

"Follow me," she said.
