Louis POV

***

The past few weeks had been quite unproductive for my book, seeing as I spent most of it with the lads or at football practice. We'd had a few games, we won two of them. I was currently at the beach with Harry and Liam while Niall ditched us to visit his parents back in Ireland for the week. Liam and I were sitting on the sand while Harry was digging a whole that was by now about 5 feet deep.

"Honestly, Lou, I think you'll be able to fit fully inside here soon." Harry laughed, setting down his shovel and leaning over to grab his beer. However, I managed to reach the drink first, then I proceeded to dump the contains over the taller lads head, causing him to scream in shock.

"Oi, I'm big." I said boldly, trying not to laugh as Harry climbed out of his pit.

"My shirts all sticky now Lou! And my hair." Harry complained, causing Liam and I to laugh even more. "It's not that funny mate." He said to Liam, who continued to laugh at Harry, who by now was running into the ocean and dove in, fully dressed.

After I calmed down, I got up to follow Harry, leaving Liam to watch our stuff. Taking off my shirt, hat, and sunglasses, unlike Harry, I got in the water and swam out to where he was at.

"Where's Liam?" He asked, clearly not being that observant.

"Watching the stuff and trying to breathe." I answered.

"You're very mean, you know that right?" He teased.

"Hey, you called me small." I defended, splashing a bit of water towards the taller man.

"Oh two can play that game." Harry said with a smirk before starting a full on water fight.

About 10 minutes later we ended up in shallow water sitting on the sand, just enjoying each others company.

"Hey Lou?" Harry asked after quite some time.

"Yeah?" I responded, looking over to him.

"Are you busy tonight?"

"Just working on the book, why?" I asked.

"Do you want to maybe go to dinner tonight?" He asked after a few moments of quiet.

"Sure." I smiled, but felt my stomach do flips at the possibility of it being a date. "Is Liam coming too?"

"Well, no. I was hoping it would be a sort of date." Harry said quietly, looking towards me once again.

I could feel a blush rising onto my cheeks as the younger boy looked at me intently, as if unsure of what I would say.

I nodded. "Yeah, yeah I'd like that. I'd like it a lot." I answered with a smile, causing Harry to do the same, his dimples showing.

"Okay, awesome." He laughed lightly, looking up at the sky. "It's nearly 4 PM, we should probably get heading home." He said standing up, then holding out his hand to help me up.

"Thanks."

"'Course." Harry responded as we started walking back towards Liam, who seemed to know we were ready to leave and had everything loaded in the back of his car.

The ride back home was spent chatting about the usual nonsense, but it was not nearly as weird as when Niall was with us. Soon, I was grabbing my stuff from Liam's car ready to head inside.

"Hey, I'll pick you up at 7." Harry said before I shut the door.

"Alright." I said with a nod and a smile, then turned to shut the door.

I couldn't help but laugh at the look of confusion on Liam's face as he seemingly interrogated Harry, who I shortly after got a text pleading for help to get away from the older boys constant pestering.

"Do I look alright?" I asked Dusty, then shook my head and played with my hair some more. "Not like you would know, you're only a cat."

It was 6:30 now and I had finally decided on black skinnies, a black t-shirt, and my black and white vans. The outfit worked pretty well because Harry never told me how to dress, and the outfit could be considered fancy if needed. I also had no clue where we were going to eat, and I could only hope it wasn't something extremely expensive, not that money seemed to be a problem for Harry. The man practically breathed Gucci.

I looked back at the clock after fixing my hair a few more times to see it was nearly 7, so I grabbed my phone, wallet, and keys before heading out into the living room and sitting on the couch.

Only 2 minutes later and there was a knock on the door, so I got up and opened it to see Harry dressed in black jeans similar to mine, paired with a black loose fitting top that was most likely Gucci, and sparkly gold boots that made him a few inches taller than he already was.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Hi. I brought flowers." He said cheerfully, diverting my attention to his hands, which had went completely unnoticed until he mentioned them. He was holding at least a dozen red roses, all of them in perfect condition.

"Wow, they're beautiful." I said, taking them as he handed them to me.

"Just like you." Harry smirked as he followed me into the kitchen to find a vase. "DUSTY!!"

"Oi, let me admire my roses." I laughed, even though Harry was far to distracted by my cat to even care. "Dork." I mumbled, shaking my head fondly at the boy.

"What was that?" Harry asked, his attention diverted away from Dusty.

"I called you a dork."

"Louuuu that's mean." He laughed, heading to open the door. "We should probably get going, we have reservations at the Italian place downtown in 15 minutes."

"Harold that place is expensive." I said as we got into his car and he turned the radio on quietly.

"I want to spoil you tonight, is there something wrong with that?" He asked and I shrugged, looking out my window at the sunset as I felt my cheeks redden.
