My phone went off as i was making my way to my locker. I checked it and on the screen it read:
'you had breakfast yet?', it was from Taylor, the first real friend i ever made at this school. I smiled and messaged her back saying 'Meet me at the coffee shop, you know which one'
And just as i made my way to my car, Taylor messaged me back. 'I'm just gonna pick Danny up, be there in 10' she finished with a thumbs up emoji and a smiley face.
'OK, see you guys there' i said before getting in my car and driving off down the road. It took about 15 minutes to get to the small coffee shop, and i parked close to it, seeing that Taylor's car was parked a few spaces behind me. I got out, locking the car and walking to the doors of the small cafe. The only reason i ever came here was because it was nice and secluded. It was cut-off from any shops, and you could only find the entrance if you walked down the alleyway. Which i was doing right now.
I opened the doors, the smell of freshly grinned coffee and toasted sandwiches hit me, and i could feel my mouth water slightly. I spotted two people sitting in the corner of the room, one of them looked up and her eyes widened in excitement as she stood up.
"CHARLIE!!" she exclaimed with joy while throwing her hands in the air, the next thing i know I'm tackled into a hug by the dark haired girl. And then another set of hands wrap around me and i feel myself turning blue.
"I need air guys" i was able to choke out. They both released me with a laugh and we all sit down on the comfy couch seats. I sat next to Danielle, she had dark brown eyes and her short jet black hair tied into a small ponytail and she wore black tights with a simple white t-shirt and red sneakers on. I remember when i first meet her, i thought of her as a friend, and it wasn't until the end of sophomore year that we started hanging out, now we were like sisters, all three of us.
"We already ordered, i got you a mocha with a lot of cream" Taylor mentioned. Meaning she had paid for the drinks, next time i would have to pay for drinks then. Taylor had short brown hair that just reached her shoulders and chocolate brown eyes. She wore an pink oversized sweater, with plain jeans and her black vans.
Right after she said that, a lady came over with our drinks and placed them down infront of us.
"Good to see my favourite customers are back" Claudia smiled at us as she handed me my mocha. She's been working here ever since we started coming here at the start of freshman year. She was a petite lady with bright green eyes and auburn red hair that was always tied into a bun.
"Schools starting again today" Danny said as she took a ship of her drink. Taylor and i sighed in unison.
"Another year of late nights and teachers that yell at you" Taylor mumbled darkly as she took a big gulp of her latte and rested her head on the palm of her free hand.
"hooray" i chirped with fake enthusiasm. Claudia chuckled and shook her head at us.
"Poor things" she murmured under her breath while smiling. "If you need anything else to start you off for your big day, ill be in the kitchen" she turned to walk away once we thanked her for our coffees and headed back behind the counter.
"So" i began, getting both Dannys and Taylors attention "I meet the new drama teacher" i looked at their faces for their reaction. They both placed their cups down gazing at me intently. Taylor signalled me to keep going.
"He's really nice" i finished. Danny and Taylor looked at each other, before giving me a 'really?' look.
"Is that it?" Danny spoke, leaning forward a little so she could hear me properly. I nodded my head and took another sip of my drink.
"oh come on" Danny rolled her eyes, leaning back in her seat again "Tells us something juicy" she commanded. I scrunched my eyebrows up in confusion.
"Like what?"
"Like" Taylor began "Is he hot?" I felt my cheeks go pink a bit. Why are my friends so perverted. I looked away and focused on the brick wall so i didn't need to look at them.
"Well, hes good looking i guess" i confessed. "His eyes are gorgeous though, its like a blue-ish green color, and hes really tall like, i can barely reach his shoulders. man is he built, i accidentally walked into him and it was like walking into a stone wall-" i cut myself off when i realized i had just blurted all of that out. I looked back over at my friends, who were both grinning evilly at me with this look in their eyes.
"What!" i snapped at them, getting more embarrassed by the second. Taylor just smiled and shook her head, while Danny was sitting there laughing her ass off.
"Were gonna have a talk about this later honey" Taylor said with a grin. I ignored her and looked down at my phone. And then i saw the time.
"Oh gosh" i whispered and quickly got up "Class Starts In 8 Minutes!!" i exclaimed. And just like that, we were out of there and racing down the highway towards our school. Great, first day back and im already running late.
