Apologies

I woke up with a slight headache.

It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, just a bit of pain, I'm sure I can overcome it.

I raised my head, along with my neck, back and torso up from the bed I was laying down on and looked around the room.

The scattered papers on the table, that had a closed laptop and the letter I was too shy to send to my brother.

I got up and started my day as usual.

I then went to school and smiled.

Roy is supposed to meet me after school today.

I remembered. Honestly, I was a little concerned, I didn't know what he wanted to tell me, and was scared of disappointing him. He's a great guy, and I'd hate to hurt him.

Passing by him in the hall, I greeted him good morning with a smile. A short conversation reminded us that we need to head to class before we were too late.

The whole school day I was deep in thoughts.

I'll have to hurry to get to Libra after I'm done talking to Roy, I don't want to be late.

I thought as the last bell rang.

All the students gathered themselves and their textbooks, notebooks, pens, and pencils, and prepared to leave.

While exiting the class, I glanced back at Roy, something about his eyes sent a chill down my spine, but I quickly snapped out of my thoughts once he approached me.

"I'm... A little scared to tell you about that, actually..."
He giggled shyly.

"Don't worry about it!"
I smiled, trying to calm him from his awkwardness.

What was on his mind? I really couldn't tell.

I then received a call from Rosa.

"Oh crap! Well, I'll meet you there."
I said as I walked to a quiet place where I could talk to her.

"I can't believe I'm doing this..."
I murmured as I walked to the place where the monster would then hurt Lizz. I was heartbroken, having to hurt someone I care about.

Please... Just leave...

"We've gotten so close! No way I'm leaving."
He declared.

"Damn it!"
I punched my cheek.
I was out of Lizzie's sight, as I was standing behind the building.
"Why do you have to do this!?"

"Do you really want me to repeat it to you? God, you humans are so annoying with those barely working brains of yours."

I sighed with a tear.

There's nothing I can do now, is there?

I have to give in to what he says.

"Think about it, you're sitting on a gold mine! You get to avoid Hell completely, no matter how much you sin."

"I don't care! I rather go to hell and not hurt the ones I love!"
I shouted back, I didn't want to lose hope.

"You can always find someone else!"

I hate him.

I hate him so much.

Yet there's nothing I can do to stop him.

He's simply stronger than me.

"Roy!"
I called my friend.

"Oh, Lizz."
Roy replied, with a sad tone.

Is he sad? Why?

"Is everything okay?"
I asked as I stood in front of him.

He didn't answer me.

He just stared at me, trying to contain tears.

He then hugged me, his warm grasp was a surprise.

"I'm-- I'm so sorry!"
He cried.

I felt his hand on my cheek, it was so soft and warm.

"I don't want to have to do this."

I felt a device being pressed against my eyes. Suddenly, my headache increased, and pain traveled across my body.

"Please believe me when I say, that I didn't want this to happen."
Tears rolled down Roy's cheeks as I resisted the urge to shout, the pain causing me to tremble. It was so overwhelming, that I fell unconscious.

Roy, or more correctly, Fromenal, pulled back his hair with a grin, as his shining red eyes stared down at the motionless female.

"N-no... Stop! I won't let you hurt her!"

"Stupid, naive Roy... You can't make a difference now."
Fromenal declared with a devious chuckle, as he picked Elizabeth off the ground, and carried her down.

He walked down the stairs to a basement only he could access.

"What does it feel like, Roy? To be the host of this historical event?"
Fromenal's eyes grew wide with excitement, as Roy's heartbeat had completely disappeared, not a trace.

Once Fromenal reached the bottom floor, he set the kid with the Blinding Eyes Of The Devil on the floor, as he sat on a throne, arm resting on a bent knee, the palm of his hand supporting his face.

He sighed as he looked up.

"This is the start of the End!"
He declared with a smile
