Welcome to Feedback with 30s! This is a feedback community service by the FW30s Book Club.
Our members offer a few different services, and you may want to have a look through them to see which one fits you best.
The top two services are both offered by anonymous reviewers from the book club. All correspondence will be done through the FW30s account.
All of our members are writers as well, so they know and understand how valuable feedback is towards improving the stories we have poured our hearts and souls into. Our intention is to help fellow writers out in this process.
Please refrain from applying if all you want is a glowing review of your work; this is a critique service and while we will tell you what we thought worked in your story, we will also be honest about what didn't. This is to help you find where you can improve and create a stronger product that represents you.
Be aware that all of our feedback will be honest and fair (but not rude). Don't apply if you can't be mature about receiving criticism.
We take a limited amount of applicants every month depending on how many reviewers we have available.
We only accept submissions in English. No real person fanfiction.
Check out the chapters for the service(s) you're interested in to find out more details on how it works.
Where I Stopped Reading
This is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A FW30s member will read through your story and tell you where they lost interest and stopped reading.
They will offer some constructive criticism to explain what you can improve and why they stopped. (If they don't stop at any point, they will read a maximum of 5k words - and if they make it that far, that's great! You'll still get feedback on your story, of course.)
First Chapter Hook Review
A FW30s member will read through your first chapter and give you feedback and critique on it. The main thing we are looking for is a hook. It's important to have a first chapter hook to keep new readers interested. Without one, it's easy for them to move onto the next book on their list.
Members Offering Services
Some of our members offer more in-depth critique/feedback/proofreading. Below is a list of the ones currently available. Check out their individual chapters for more details on their exact services and payments required.
