There was a black haired man lying in the bed looking dangerously pale for what Eva could notice. He wasn't moving either although he was still breathing. He had a large bandage on his bare chest and right shoulder and grey veins were coming out from his wound spreading all along his torso like poisonous fingers.

Eva felt captivated by that sight despite of herself. She walked by Danny and Anahí silently and stopped besides the bed to stare closely at the patient.

"What happened to him?" she asked.

"He was shot", Danny said shortly.

Anahí glanced at the blood stains on her white scrubs and then crossed her arms over her chest sighing deeply.

"I tried to remove the bullet but it's too deep. I can't do it without his help, Danny. With a normal bullet, Franz himself could push it out easily, letting his own body do the rest. He would have the chance to heal himself just like it was taught to us. But now..."

"What do you mean?" Danny turned around to look at the nurse and repeated her words. "A normal bullet...?"

She met his green gaze quietly for a moment and Eva wondered if maybe they were sharing their thoughts mentally or something. But Anahí finally said out loud.

"It's a silver bullet".

"What?"

"That son of a bitch!"

They all focused on the door when they heard Elisa cussing out. Cesar and Tara were standing beside her but soon they all entered the room too as the woman spoke. "That bastard used silver bullets?"

Anahí nodded silently but Eva wasn't looking at them anymore. The man in the bed and the smoky fingers coming out from his wound were ringing a bell in her mind. The words "silver bullet" did more than just terrify her. Eva had a seat slowly in the bed besides the patient as her mind began to work desperately into find a way out. Because she understood what those people were and she realized what it meant to know their secret too. How the heck would she be able to escape now?

"Eva".

Danny was calling her and she was sure that he had noticed her reaction. Hells, he probably could smell her fear too.

Eva looked up and stared at them all silently before her gaze returned to the patient.

She was trapped. Even if she could find a way to get out of the cabin, they would just hunt her down in the forest, wouldn't they? That was their territory after all. That was what they really were. If she wanted to have a chance to survive that night and be free, Eva would have to play her cards very well. And there was only one card in her hands at the moment.

"Okay, Danny". She spoke with a confidence that she wasn't feeling at all. "I will help you... but only under certain terms."

"Terms?" Cesar frowned but the woman ignored his unpleasant tone as she untied her shoes.

"Yes, terms. That you all must accept if you guys want your friend to survive tonight".

"You're fucking kidding me."

"We are listening". Danny interrupted Cesar meeting his gaze intensely. Once his friend nodded quietly, he asked. "What are those terms?"

"Well..." Eva took her shoes off and also removed her jacket before sitting closer to Franz. "What you guys must understand is that what you are asking me to do could not work. It depends of your friend and how receptive he can be. It's not easy. It's risky. We both could end up... hurt. Do you guys understand that? The human mind is very complex."
