I woke up, beads of sweat forming on my forehead as my alarm sounded. It looks like I fell asleep on my desk. I stood up and combed my hair back with my hand. The alarm sounded again before I took it to turn it off. 5 minutes before the session. I placed the alarm clock back on the desk and went out of my room. Closing the door behind me, I stared at the cell in front of me. Giving it a death glare before walking to my father's lab.
"Ah, Sehun" My father greeted as I walked in. He was checking his materials placed beside the operating table. The syringes that I saw before were still there with new ones. I walked near the table, looking at the row of syringes with different liquids inside of them. " No blades today?" I asked.
"None. Only these" He said as he gestured to the rows of syringes. "We'll be working on something new. Something I haven't tried before. Something....interesting" What he said echoed through the room, excitement can be heard in his low voice. He walked to his desk and took his tablet.
"And what is that father?" I asked, half scared, half curious.
"Fear"
Fear isn't new to me. It never was. It was my constant companion ever since I was born. It's what made me quiet. It's what made me follow my father all these years. It's what made me not question everything. And it grew once my mother went out with my father. Once my father came back without her.
I snapped back to reality to find my father seated on the chair beside the operating table.
"Interesting indeed" I answered.
"Hmm, yes yes. Can you please bring me my pet now'' He gave one of the syringes."And use this in case things will go out of hand" I gave him a nod and walked to the last cell.
After I knocked on the cell's gate two times. I opened up the slot and looked inside. She's sleeping. I knocked again, this time louder. It was enough to wake her up. "Get up!" I opened the gate and went in. "Move, you're needed"
"No! What will you do to me?!" She said, still seated on the bed. "I won't walk to my own death, I'm not an idiot!"
I sighed and grabbed her wrist. "I have no time for this" I dragged her to the lab while she shouted, protested and tried her best to break free from my hand. "Sehun...don't damage it" I heard father say from the lab. I had no choice but to use the syringe father gave me. So I got it out of my pocket, and stuck it in her neck. I waited for her to calm down before I carried her to the lab and placed her down the operating table.
"Turn off the light please, we will start the session" I walked to the light switch and flicked it off. The room went dark except for the light coming from above the operating table. "Darkness....one of the most common fears known" He started while I watched. Starting with the blue filled syringe, he took it and injected it in the girl's neck. "We need the subject awake...Sehun, the straps please." I went near and strapped down her arms, hands, legs, feet and torso. Making sure every one is secure before resuming my spot. Within a few seconds the subject's eyes flew open. Her eyes darting from left to right. "Where am I?!"
"You're safe, you don't have to worry" Father said, sounding like a actual human being capable of feeling. "Just lie still"
"I...I don't want to die..." The subject started sobbing as father injected another syringe but this time filled with foggy liquid. "Don't worry dear..."
"You already are"
"Wh..WHAT'S HAPPENING?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME? WHY CAN'T I SEE ANYTHING?!"
"I just turned the lights off that's all" Father lied.
