Chapter One: Explanation

The others walked in as the four left shocked.

All of them are here, Toriel, Asgore, Alphys, Undyne and Papyrus. They are hearing the conversation all along.

'Brother, what's wrong?', Papyrus said.

'Uhhhh, kiddos? Seems like we cannot hide it any longer... right? Even though I still don't like this but they seemed already hear our conversations,' Sans sighed, the three kids just nodded but didn't say anything.

'Sans, what is a reset? And what do you mean about "it"?', said Toriel.

'Alright, lets say it is a power to go back in time and only Frisk can use it. It can bring you back in time without anyone noticing, so you guys won't know about it,' Sans said.

'Then how can you know?', Undyne asked.

'That's it, Sans, Asriel, Frisk and me are the only ones that can know about the resets, we know that the time is changed but you guys won't notice,' said Chara.

'However, everytime Frisk reset, it's not Frisk who do it, it is someone we called, um, lets say "Player", controlled Frisk to do it and that's what we said "it"," Asriel said.

'And it make me do something bad, like, the genocide route... the first genocide, they killed everyone and then reached to the last corridor but we called it, the judgement hall,' Frisk said.

'Why judgement hall?'Papyrus asked.

'Because the royal judge will judge all your actions while you are in the underground there,' Asriel said.

'And who's the judge? I heard that the judge is the last defence of the king, he or she must be strong and only the king and the judge himself or herself knows, anyone that is the judge wants to keep it as a secret,' said Undyne.

'It's Sans...' Asgore said.

'What!?' The others are in shock since Sans was always lazy while the four sighed.

'The "player" originally thought Sans will be an easy kill but how wrong they were,' said Chara, 'Even though he only have one attack, one defence but he is the only monster except Asriel that knows about the resets. Also, his Karmic Retribution acts as soul poison slowly taking the players HP away so basically, if your hit too many times your dead.'

'Took them 536 tries to kill me for the first time, everytime I kill them they just come back,' Sans said, 'and I am the last one to be killed except Asgore and Asriel so everytime I have to see you guys die, and they reset over and over again then I have to watch you guys die over and over again,' After this, Sans ended up in tears.

'And that's what brings Sans nightmares...' Chara said as comforting Sans.

'Sans, who is Gaster?' Papyrus asked.

Sans shivered, then said, 'He was the royal scientist and, and our...dad...'

'Our dad!? I thought you said we don't have parents, Sans!' Papyrus shouted angrily, ' how can you lie about this!'

'But he's dead! He fell into the core and shattered between time and space! Nobody remembers him except me! He got wiped out of existence, Papyrus!! None of you remembered!!' Sans shouted sadly, 'and I was his lab assistant.. we can only stop the "player" from resetting by him...and he knows about the resets too...'

They all fell into silent.
