~Jenna~

Garrow handed Roran a small bag of money, "Be back for supper at Horst's". And Roran ran off, to Eragon and Jenna, "You two come with me."

The three arrived at a stall that sold trinkets and precious stones. A Merchant came out of his tent, and his face lit up as he saw, Jenna holding a bag bulging with the carvings, "Jenna, I see you have the merchandise, your carvings are selling like.......like...well, firewood for the winter." Merlock the merchant concluded.

"Yes Merlock, I've got 30 wooden carvings and about 20 stone ones, so that should be about 30 crowns altogether," said Jenna, handing over the bag of her carvings.

"Gladly," replied Merlock, then Merlock turned to Garrow and Eragon, "and what business do you have with me?"

Garrow quietly explained that he needed to see him in private, away from prying eyes and eavesdroppers. Jenna watched them make their way into the tent. She stopped Garrow before he went in and handed him a small bag of coins, but he refused and waved her off, "No, you deserve it; you've worked hard with the carvings and with the farm, keep it. Consider it as a birthday present," he added, seeing her reluctant pout.

After much debating, she finally left, looking at the stalls around the square. When suddenly, someone came up to her, he had blonde hair, "Hello, Albriech," Jenna said immediately. Albriech Horstsson, is, obviously enough, the eldest son of Horst, he gets his blonde hair from his mother. Although Jenna had no real interest in finding love, Albriech had fancied her ever since......a very long time.

"Hello, how are you, Jenna?" said Albriech awkwardly. Jenna looked over his shoulder and saw his younger brother, Baldor, sneaking around and watching them. Jenna stifled a laugh; his younger brother was spying on them, enjoying his older brother make a fool of himself.

"Great and you?" asked Jenna. Albriech struggled to answer but composed himself.

"Never better," he replied, "would you like to go for a walk?"

"Um...sure?" said Jenna, not completely sure.

They walked around the market place in silence, stopping once in a while, so Jenna could look at the stalls. Until, Garrow called Jenna over. Jenna reluctantly left waving at Albriech, who remained standing.

~AT THE CELEBRATION~

Jenna had to put on a dress for the celebration of Eragon and her entering adulthood. Everyone thought that they were twins, but only Garrow and Roran knew the truth.

Because Jenna didn't have a dress of her own, she had to borrow Katrina's, Roran's lover. They were of the same stature even though Katrina is two years older than Jenna. Jenna chose a plain green dress that complimented her long brown hair, which she wore in one plait down her back, and her green eyes.

When she came out, she noticed that Eragon had worn a formal blue tunic with a brown vest, which was most likely Baldor's, Albriech's younger brother. The whole village applauded at their entrance, and the celebrations started. A fiddle was brought out for Jenna to play. Her right hand pulled the bow across the strings vigorously, while her left hand fingers pressed at the strings, shortening them with such speed and skills. After a while the song picked up more speed and Jenna danced, stamping her feet, dipping her head and fiddle to the music. After the song, she played a slower song but still quite fast. Jenna twirled and continued to stamp her feet and the village joined to dance to the music in a circle around her. They spun in concentric circles around Jenna, who was the centre point, holding hands and stamping their feet and laughing. Every one enjoyed the feast that was laid out.

Jenna walked around the square and accepted greetings and congratulations from people she passed. Wanting some alone time, she went to a small alley way far from where the celebrations were taking place, only to find Roran with Katrina in his arms. Embarrassed looks on all three of their faces. "I was just ... We...ummm," stuttered Roran," Don't tell anyone alright?"

Jenna nodded, stifling a laugh, "Don't worry I won't tell."

Late at night, everyone gathered around the campfire, in the centre of the village, as Brom, the storyteller, retold the history of Alagaesia and the legacy of the Riders.

In the land of Alagaesia, there were four main races: Men, Elves, Dwarves and Benders.......

~Eragon~

Over the next few days, Eragon and Roran helped Horst and his sons Albriech and Baldor in their blacksmith workshop, while Jenna helped Elain around the house. Although she was kept busy inside, Elain would always give Jenna time to get some fresh air and relax outside. Every once in a while Jenna and Eragon would take out the blue stone and marvel at its beauty. Things stayed happy in Carvahall until Roran decided to leave Carvahall for work.

Roran started, "Look, Jenna, Eragon, I want to go, soon I will be married and ..."

"What?" both of Eragon's and Jenna's face were shocked mixed with mischief, "So that's what you were doing last night in the alleyway! You proposed!"

"Wait, you saw that to?" all of their comments were in sync. They burst into laughter. When they were sober, Eragon asked seriously, "Garrow won't let you go."

Agreeing, Jenna said, “He’s right, you know how he is."

"Don't worry; I've got it all under control."

~LATER~

And to Eragon's and Jenna's surprise, Garrow did accept Roran leaving Carvahall. "Roran's old enough to be married, so of course he has to find enough money to start a family." was his answer. Roran was due to leave in two weeks time, so Garrow decided that they were to stay in Carvahall until the day Roran leaves.

That night, Eragon heard a rattling from under his bed. It was coming from the blue stone, except, it wasn't a stone, it was an egg. And from that egg, emerged a small, magical creature, "It's a dragon", Eragon exclaimed silently.
