The king of the Earth Nation, paced up and down the hall, hearing the painful screams of his wife. They sliced the air like knives through butter. The Earth king desperately wanted to go in and comfort his wife, but tradition kept him from doing so.

Right now Galbatorix's forces were now gathering above on the surface ready enter DrasUndir.

"Why did the baby have to come now", he murmured to himself. He had organised everything already for his child's departure. Once the baby was born, two drops of her blood would be taken: one for her sword and one for her bow. Each child, once born, has a sword and a bow premade to fit anyone person, but when the child's blood is kept in the hilt of the sword and in the center of the bow, the weapon becomes the child's weapon and the child's alone. No one will be able to wield it properly. It was foretold that this child was going to be a female and the new Avatar, so the Earth king had the Air Monks craft a staff for her, the Water Benders make a special water gourd and a small vial filled with the sacred water of the spirit oasis, the Fire Benders make a special belt and scabbard for her sword and the Earth Benders make a bracelet out of the crystals that was indestructible. All of this was put into a special bag made by the non-benders. It was a bag that could hold anything in it, no matter how big or heavy, it could all fit into that little bag and still weigh as though nothing was in that bag.

Suddenly, a huge rumble shook the underground world, almost knocking the Earth king over. He was sent news soon after from the outposts that Galbatorix had finally reached the DrasUndir.

At the moment that he received this terrifying news, he heard the cries of a new born baby girl. The girl was named Jenna Joannasdaughter.

Garrow, a farmer living on the outskirts of Carvahall, waited with his son in the small kitchen, while his wife, Miriam, was inside tending his pregnant sister who was going into labour. It was late at night, and Garrow did not want to wake up the whole of Carvahall, as Miriam was quite capable of doing it by herself. His son Roran was currently two and sitting quietly listening to the agonising screams of his aunt.

A few days ago, his sister, Selena, had mysteriously come out of nowhere to Carvahall, looking for him, carrying a child in her womb. The family of three willingly took her in and took care of her. Selena decided that she would stay until her child was old enough, she would leave with the child.

Galbatorix had breached DrasUndir and everyone was frantic. The five kings had gathered their forces to be ready for war.

The next day, as Jenna, now a day old, lay in her cot, her mother, Joanna, was writing a letter, silent tears falling down her cheeks. Jenna's mother wrapped Jenna in a white cloth embroidered with her name on it. Then she gave the small bundle to the nurse maid along with the letter and the small bag.

"Run away, find somewhere safe and look after her she must stay alive, don't let her be separated from you and if you are forced separate from her, give her to someone far away from here and give them this," ordered queen Janna.

From outside the bedroom chamber, orders were issued to have the door kicked down. The castle shook and to which the baby Jenna woke up. She was taken up into the nurse maid’s arms, who ran towards the servants chambers where a secret tunnel lay.

The nurse maid ran through the houses, down the alleyways, avoiding the war between Men and Benders until she was forced to take the main road, to the heart of the war. Rocks, Water, Fire and Air currents were flying in the air as well as arrows. Jenna saw chaos and ruin unfold before her eyes.

As the nurse maid approached one of the secret tunnels that lead to the world above, a band of soldiers guarding the tunnel caught sight of the woman running towards them, holding a small bundle. Still running, the nurse maid grabbed a dagger from her boot and threw the dagger at the man nearest to her in the chest to create a diversion. The knife hit it's mark with a thud and the man fell to the ground. She jumped past him before the other soldiers could block her way and climbed through the tunnel.

Running in no particular direction, she looked back to see the men following in pursuit carrying swords. She saw a forest and ran towards it hoping to lose the soldiers through the mass of trees. But with the baby in her arms the nurse maid could not climb or jump the cliffs, so she had to run on the outskirts weaving in and out of the trees. She had lost them, but knowing that they would keep searching for her she ran finding a safe place for her. Finally, there was a light in the distance.

Garrow observed his new nephew; he looked much like his mother. The family rejoiced the birth of the baby when a small but urgent knock sounded on the door.

When Garrow opened it, he saw a young woman in a cloak holding a bundle of a baby. "Please take her," she passed a letter and a small bag to him and kissed the baby's forehead and closed her eyes as if sending her a blessing. "Goodbye, princess" was what he heard her say she before pushing the bundle into his arms. And with that she ran into the darkness and shouting out as if to call someone. As he closed the door he heard the rattling of metal armour pass his house somewhere in the distance and later he heard a piercing scream that raised all the hairs on his body. Garrow looked at the sleeping baby and noted that she looked like she was only a day or few days old.

He returned to the bedroom and showed the baby to his wife and told her what had happened and announced that they were going to raise the baby as their own.
