Part VII

"Good day to you ladies and gentlemen, we've got ourselves in a specialized mission." Shanny introduced Task Force 246 for their new mission: Capture or kill Vladimir Zukhaevli. Shanny had the entire operation labeled a secret from the public and press as to avoid public outrage. An hour and 30 minutes went by, and the briefing was over. Ayed, Kaycee and Ahnika are walking along the corridors to head to Shanny's office. "Oi Captain, how's your time under the general's wing?" Ayed asked Ahnika. "Not much sir, I instantly got close with most of his officers." The young British gal replied. "I kinda like your accent mate, maybe I should start brushing up on my british accent." Kaycee commented. "Your accent is already good mate, but it's always different if you have British anscestry." Ahnika replied while laughing. "Aight cut the chatter, let's enter the general's office." Ayed said to both Kaycee and Ahnika. Apple was on her desk went the officers entered. "Good day sirs and ma'am, General Salvador is in, you can enter." The Lieutenant said. "Alright then, have a good day." Ayed replied. Apple opened the door, and all four saw Shanny having a discussion with Iya, somehow got into an argument.

"Sir, we're trying to use intelligence as our main weapon to continue pushing the enemy forces back from Hong Kong." Iya told the general.

"We've tried intel, and it's ineffective. The enemy won't give up easy." Shanny replied.

"But-"

"No buts Khaliea.... We're in a complete mess, and I want this fixed. Get me a better weapon." Shanny said fiercefully.

"Yes sir." Iya replied

"Also, I need the files I sent you last week back by Friday, dismissed." Shanny said to Iya.

Iya grabbed her clutch from Shanny's table and left his office a bit stressed as she needed to get everything in control. Ayed, Kaycee and Ahnika entered the office after Iya left.

"Good day to you gentlemen and lady, sit down." Shanny told the three officers.

The trio sat as soon as they were told to do so, and they watched how Shanny did some of his tasks in complete silence. Shanny then handed a few files to Ahnika before saying something.

"Your deployment begins on Friday. You'll have a flight to St. Petersburg along with Captain Ledshik's men as the Russian high command has a task for his platoon." Shanny informed Ayed and Kaycee. He then handed over a blue tube containing the plans that he, JP and a few other officers had carefully made to ensure the capture or death of Zukhaevli.

"Just read it if you need to or you can change it if something isn't right."

"Hope that young gal who left your office didn't take your words personally boss."

"Yeah, but I'm still taking note on the fact that she hasn't been under me for a year yet, things will change." Shanny and Kaycee talked with each other as Ayed read the plans and Ahnika taking a look on the files. The General and the Captain were talking about Iya, as Shanny was known for being a bit too harsh to new officers and easily gets upset with many things. While the discussions went on for the next several minutes, JP and Zoe entered the office.

"Boss, you going to the war room?"

"Gimme fifteen minutes, I'll be with y'all shortly." He replied.

Fifteen minutes passed by, and Shanny together with Ahnika went down to the war room to meet JP, Zoe and Angelo. Angelo had read multiple reports of POW abuses made by troops under Llord who is still in Vietnam. A few officers have ordered 80 prisoners to fall in and one of them grabbed an M4A1 rifle and shot all the prisoners.

"What's the reason for it to happen and who ordered it?"

"The main reason is yet to be identified as well as who ordered to do it, I'll try to gather information from first-hand witnesses."
