nearly a year later, the love between the two was still going strong. this was surprising to most as middle school relationships never lasted longer than a few months. they could tell y/n and bokuto were different.

"hey hey hey! hows my baby doing?" y/n said through the phone.

"im doing good, i have practice in a bit because we have our tournament coming up but i still have time, lets talk!" he said smiling like a fool.

"nono i wouldn't want to disrupt you from practice, i just wanted to ask you if you were free saturday so we can hang out" she said cheerfully

bokuto thought for a second and answered "no i dont think i have anything that day, hows 2?"

"perfect"

"alright see you then, bye byeee" he ended the call and smiled to himself.

bokuto's love for volleyball grew just like his love for y/n. fortunately, he was able to keep both things he loved in check without disregarding the other.

his team had been rough, although he knew that his team was strong, he cant help but frown when his teammates put him down or ignore him. he didn't understand, he kept this away from y/n because she knew she would create a scene and he didnt want to be ridiculed more than he already has.

he never knew the reason why his team hated him, last practice he remembered when they were supposed to run together around the city. after 10 minutes of running he noticed that his entire team has left him alone, forced to find it way back to school without getting in trouble.

he knew he was a good player, almost as good as his teams ace. bokuto made it his mission to become the greatest ace and make y/n proud.

the week went by and saturday came quickly.
at 1:45 bokuto headed to y/ns house cheerfully walking. he couldnt wait to see her. he wore black ripped jeans a white sweater with a denim jacket on top.

he reached the house and knocked on the door, waiting for it to be answered. he heard the door click to see his girlfriend at the door. "hey hey hey babyy!!" y/n said as she pulled him into a kiss.

bokuto softly smiled and intertwined his hands with hers. "you look beautiful by the way"

"thanks.. you do too!" she blushed and looked at him.

they walked and conversed amongst themselves never letting each others hand go. they arrived at the mall and started to browse. the couple went through a few stores with no intent to purchase anything. after a few more stores, they walked past a jewelry store where y/n stopped and stared at a necklace on the display. "wahh bokutoo!! its so pretty!! it reminds me of you!"

it was a silver chain necklace with an owl charm with blue diamonds for the feathers and eyes.

he loved when she got excited over things, he loved the way her eyes sparkled when she was talking to him about things she loved. "why dont you get it then?" he asked her.

she shook her hands in a refusal . "oh i couldnt, its way too expensive, and plus im not that fancy for jewelry", she rubbed the back of her neck.

"you know youre so beautiful i think i mistake you as a jewel all the time" he stared at her and pecked her lips. she laughed at his cheesy pick up line, she could tell hes been waiting to use that one. "alright whatever you say... lets go eat im starving" he nodded and followed her.

at the food court, they picked up some f/f and started to eat. in the middle of their meal, bokuto excused himself and went to the bathroom. y/n continued to eat and smiled at herself.

she was in love with the white haired boy.

out of boredom, the e/c girl turned on her phone and went through messages and social media when she received a text.

yeah, we've been dating for quite some time now.
also its not my fault that SOMEONE doesnt pick up their phone when i call >:(

y/n smiled at the interaction between her friend. she glanced up for a moment to see bokuto walking up to her. she quickly texted konoha another message.

"hey what took you so long?" y/n greeted her boyfriend.

"sorry i kinda got distracted... are you finished? lets go home then shall we?" he asked extending a hand towards her. she grabbed it and they started to walk.

they reached her house and looked at each other. "bokuto thanks for today, i really needed it"

"no problem y/n, anytime" he leaned towards her and gave her one last kiss "i'll see you at school yeah?"

"mhm!! bye bye byee i love you!" she said as she enters the house. once she closed the door she received a text. she checked to see who it was
