"Ne ne , Sasuke,"Naruto prodded him with his elbows as they sat at the counter of Ichiraku Ramen just after they've been released from the hospital after much persuasion to and screamings from Sakura and the fifth Hokage,"Hn."Sasuke replied as he shut his eyes ,already ready for Naruto to shoot him a usual stupid question only that he had a small smile pulling on the corner of his lips ; indicating that Naruto could go ahead and speak his mind.
"Why did you finally concede defeat and come home?"Naruto asked casually as he slurped his noodles;blonde locks falling to cover his forehead.At that question Sasuke froze as millions of thoughts ran through his mind, "Hn , dobe , why do I need a reason to come back to my homeland has to do with you" he replied cooly,his voice void of any emotions as if the thoughts that went through his head before didn't ever exist.

Back home as the Uchiha boy walked the eerily quiet Uchiha compound with his hands shoved in his grey slacks,his head was bowed low in thoughts as he remembered the conversation between him and the blonde ninja earlier.

"I'm really glad you're back Sasuke , I was going mad for the last 3 years without you in Konoha and when I saw you there arriving at the battlefield , heck when i sensed your chakra in tailed beast mode i almost cried there and then"the blonde boy rambled on whilst slurping his ramen loudly."I'm just really happy Sasuke...so many people in Konoha loves you,I'm sure they're glad you're back.."
"Hn yeah right you stupid dobe , more like they're glad I'm back and they'd love to kill me."Sasuke scoffed under his breath just loud enough for Naruto to hear it.
"If only you knew teme..."Naruto muttered softly , think he was the only one who heard it but never did he realise the raven haired boy caught it.

"Damn it Naruto ,curse you for not being able to keep your words to yourself."the boy growled as he kicked at a rock,knocking it to hit the wall as ,letting out an exasperated loud sigh.With his back resting against the wall and his eyes fluttering shut he tried to chase away the thoughts with thoughts about his childhood .
"Sasuke-teme...!"
"Sa-Sasukeee treat me to Ichirakus you're always ditching me and Sakura-chan !"only the obnonxious blondes voice rang through his head.
"Stupid."Sasuke growled to no one in particular ,pushing open the dark mahogany doors of his house only to be greeted by the musty smell and a dark gloomy room.He sighed,lonely again.Trudging along the dark hallways,he pushed open the door of his room ,slumping down on the plush bed, eyes closed not bothering to wash up.
"This house is so quiet and gloomy."He noted ,the last rays of weak sunshine trying to illuminate the huge room.The silence in the room was deafening."I don't want to come hime to eerie silence and a dark house,I just wish to not be alone anymore."sasuke grimly muttered under his breath,turning to his sides,falling asleep.

"Tou-san I want the biggest cake!"
"Are you sure you can finish the cake?"
"Yes!I will , I will share it with kaa-chan and tou-san!"
Envy ran through Naruto's body,He envied the child that just crossed him,he wanted to know what it was like to be in a family.Sure he had friends,he was grateful for them for acknowledging him , saving him from hell.Besides being the hero of not only the hidden leaf but the shinobi he wasn't alone,right?Left and right he had girls calling him and chasing after him,he shouldn't feel lonely right?
"Naruto Senpai!"A shrilly voice cut through the air causing Naruto to stop in his tracks,turning around on his heels swiftly to find out who had called him.Right, after his efforts in the great shinobi war years ago he had accumulated more "fans" that could rival the Uchiha boy when they were 12.
"Tadaima," Naruto uttered softly to himselfas he finally got home after being stopped by many to talk or take pictures with him ,knowing no one will answer. By now, it was a habit. Going home to a dark apartment, and calling out a quiet "tadaima," to the oppressive emptiness. Dreaming for someone that would welcome him home, and smile at him. He knew it wouldn't happen. But that never stopped him from continuing the ritual.
Peeling off his jacket and throwing it onto the couch,he trudged into the kitchen as he filled his kettle up with water before slamming it onto the stove for the water to boil.Naruto was starving ,it didnt matter that he just had ramen with Sasuke at Ichiraku's , this was his usual routine,coming home , throwing his jacket on the couch then boiling the water to make a cup of ramen.
Sitting down at his table,Naruto stared blankly,mulling over his thoughts only to be disturbed by the whistling of the kettle indicating the water was boiled.
After eating and bathing and doing whatever he did,Naruto maneuvered himself around the clutter of ramen cup and dirty clothes-falling face first onto the bed.
"I want someone to go home to, someone to welcome me home,I just don't want to be alone anymore."Naruto thought bitterly
before his eyes shut for the night,his snoring filling the still air.
