I stepped through the portal and into my base. I took in a deep breath and set the locator down as I plugged a large wire into the centre of one of the circles on the globe.

"I see you have returned F/N, how was your trip?" Olivia asked.

"It was...interesting to say the least." I said to her as I stood up.

"Well I see you have brought back the signal booster. My scans tell me that it is a celestial locator, very ancient technology. Predating most ancient civilisations in the realm."

"Yeah yeah, very interesting. Can you use it to boost our scanners to find Hayden?"

I sat down in my chair and watched as the screen showed a map of the different realms. All the way from heaven above, to hell below.

"I will begin to download all relevant data needed from the device but this will take some time." Olivia told me.

"How long exactly?" I asked.

"To use enhanced scanning in earth realm it will take 24 hours, but for all realms it will take up to 48 hours minimum."

"The fuck? Why so long?"

"The data inside the device is ancient and thus needs to be converted into modern code to be of any use to us."

"Alright, can't argue with that I suppose."

"I recommend that while waiting you find something else to do."

"Yeah, no shit."

I began to type on the keyboard as I reconfigured the scanners to search for high devil energy levels on earth.

"F/N? May I ask why you're suspending scans for demon activity and searching for devils instead?" Olivia asked.

"Had a run in with a small army of demons in the underworld. Rias Gremory and her father offered me a deal, and I'd like to discuss in person with Rias what this deal entails." I reasoned.

"Why do you wish to speak with Rias herself and not her father too?"

"She seemed confident, a bit too confident. I'm hoping that if her father isn't around she'll fumble around and I can maybe get more information out of her."

"Excellent idea. I shall do what I can to boost the scans for a faster result without delaying the transfer."

"Thank you Olivia."

I stood up from my chair and began to make my way towards the bathroom.

"I need a shower to get all this dried blood off me."

*Xenovia POV*

I swung my sword down and split the training dummy right down the middle.

"How could I be predictable?! I trained for years to battle people like him and he insults me by saying I'm predictable!"

I spun around and threw icicles at another training dummy, piercing the sandbags as the ice melted.

"The magic Akeno and Rossweisse taught me will serve me well if I ever meet him again. But next time I will crush him."

I continued to swing my sword and alternate between magic to destroy as many as possible to hopefully gain some skill from fighting inanimate objects.

"AGH! It'll never be enough!"

"Asia, could you pass me the glass of water please?" I asked.

"Of course Issei." Asia quietly said.
