Daddy?(completed)

"Harry , can you get Darcy for me" I asked him as we got out at the store . he quickly nodded grabbing our small child

"Mummm mummmy" Darcy slobbered as I grabbed my purse

"Amber" Harry caught my attention "can she call me Daddy?" he paused hope in his eyes

I finally gave in he was her father "yeah" I simply nodded  

"Thank you" he said playing with her hand

"So what are we getting" he asked buckleing Darcy into the buggie

I held on to the buggie pulling it in the direction I needed to go "uh just a few groceries and I just whatever els we need" I answered going towards an aisle

"Balll" Darcy yelled pointing to the big ben of balls .Harry rolled the buggies beside it grabbing a pink one putting it in her hands

"Down this aisle Harry" I ordered as I lead the way .I took a moment figureing out which shampoo  to get .I finally decded on some Dove stuff that smelt like coconuts

"Harry" I called out for him his head shot up Darcy looseing his attention

"Don't you need a spare tooth brush if you are staying to take care of Darcy"I asked he nodded sheepishly

I grabbed a blue tooth brush putting in the buggie leaving Darcy and Harry in that aisle as I went to retrieve my personal things

"There's mum" I heard Harry say then Darcy clap her hands

"What ya got there" he asked

I turned my body towards him showing him the box of tampons .His face went beat red "oh" he said hardly above a whisper

I had no shame of buying tampons I had a kid for god's sake she was way more important than what people thought of me

"Okay um now I need to get some diapers for Darcy" I dragged the buggie once again down towards the baby aisle

I found the brand of diapers Darcy wears ,but I couldn't reach them "Harry" I called his attention still on Darcy playing with some stuffed animal

"Harry" I said a bit louder

"What" he bit bac rather harshly

I crossed my arms over my chest huffing "I can't reach the stupid diapers " I pouted

He slowly walked towards me his lanky body swaying as he walked . With one big stretch he had the box in both hands

"Thank you" I smiled

As my mind ran over everything I needed I got interupted by an unfamiliar voice

"Oh my Gary sweety look " an old woman said pointing towards us

"She is so cute .Look at her I remember when ours were that little" she sad sadly referring to Darcy

"Thank you" Harry and I said at the same time

The elderly women smiled at us "no problem you guys are a very good looking family"  she said now happily I just smiled

"Oh come on Darla,  leave the poor family alone " her husband told her laughing a bit

She pushed her glasses up "whatever Gary. You guys be safe " and then they walked away hand in hand

I will never have that .Never have anyone to grow old with I thought to myself

"Yes you will" Harry's voice said rather matter a factly

"What" I asked confused .

He exhaled loudly " you will have someone to grow old with " he told me

shit I said that out loud

I guess he was trying to make me feel better

"You don't know that" I scoffed back

He looked at me then licked his lips " but I do know.  Someone will love you very much and if they could they would give you the world" he told me picking Darcy up at the check out line

"Thank for trying to help Harry

, but who would do that anyways" I asked him just wanting to end the conversation

He was quiet for a bit " I- I - would" he said

My eyes went wide and my breath hitched "what" I nearly yelled

He covered Darcy's ears "Amber don't yell" he whispered

"But I do uh I love you . We have a kid together made from our love " he said with a shaky breath
