Izuku's eyes shot open but due to the bright LED lights he closed them tight.
"Young Midoriya." At the sound of his name Izuku painfully looked ahead of him. There stood All Might, in all his 'malnourished' glory which was accompanied with a grim look. Izuku's green eyes roam around the room, quickly noting that he was in the nurses room.
"You took the quite the beating. Your hands are unbelievably fractured and crushed, it may be too injured in order for me to heal it properly....even with the help of your new awakened quirk." At his left sat Recovery Girl in front of a couple of x-rays. "I'll have to first remove the fragments to prevent them getting stuck in his joints."
Ah, yes. Izuku's 'awakened quirk'. He can still remembered the moment of its discovery. Suffice to say he was shocked, confused, and a little saddened—specifically towards how it was discovered. Just the thought of it made his stomach churn and made his chest feel a familiar spike of pain. Recovery Girl stopped Izuku's train of thought before he could continue to reminisce about his actual late blooming situation.
"And don't even think of praising the boy for this." A wave of silence filled the room. While Midoriya was too busy going down memory lane, Recovery Girl was scolding All Might on his way of 'teaching'. All Might felt saddened and guilty since he knew that motivating Young Midoriya to reach number one would make him do drastic choices. If only he thought twice before telling Young Midoriya that.
"MIDORIYA/DEKU!!!" Though right now it seems that he'll need to think of not dying. The sudden out burst of the new arrivals was enough to give him a heart attack.
"Are you okay?!"
"Guys?" Midoriya weakly asked. "Wh-what about th-the next m-match?" He stuttered but not his usual kind.
"Due to your match with Todoroki-san, the arena is currently under repairs." Informed Iidia.
"Midoriya-san are you ok?" Momo quickly made her presence known. "I mean of course your not okay, you're laying here in pain but you seem well enough to talk, however you should rest but-!"
"What I think Yao-momo is trying to say," Tsu interrupted Momo's sudden rant, "that we are all worried for you."
By now Midoriya was blushing up a storm. The closeness of Momo, the concern in her eyes, the scent of lavender she gave off — plus the unintentional feeling of her chest due to her leaning over the bed didn't help — was giving him goosebumps and chills...Ones that made him a nervous wreck mind you, not the 'other kind' — c'mon he's a cinnamon roll!
"A-ah, yes. Thank you Asui-san." Momo responded. Though once she noticed the situation she quickly backed away as a faint red tint adorned her face, whether from embarrassment or lack of air from her rant. Perhaps both.
"Call me Tsu."
"Of-of course."
Off to the side stood a confused Iidia, a seething Mineta and an attentive Uraraka. The two adults simply snickered quietly at the ninth successors reaction.
Ochako then suddenly closed in on the bed where Midoriya occupied. Which didn't help Midoriya to stop blushing and for Momo to slightly narrow her eyes. Tsu simply stood to the side.
"Deku-kun we hope you recover well and, and well I hope..." However Ochako struggled to find the right words to express her personal concerns. Certain words that would help her triumph over what Momo just did. Why? She didn't know but when Momo got too close for her comfort, it left a bitter taste in her mouth. One she just couldn't explain.
Watching the bob cut girl stutter, and shyly move her hands around, was amusing as seeing if Midoriya would actually pass out. Recovery Girl ultimately had to ruin the moment since there were more serious and concerning matters to attend to.
