The Verdict

It has been 3 days ever since she meet Mista. Within the short time span, her little group has been working on collecting information about Passione and the mystery person who has the necklace.

Retrieving information about Passione was harder than they've originally thought. As they've only know a few things:

1. Passione used to sell drugs but that was stopped 4 years ago as a new Godfather emerge.

2. They control the hotels, the ports transportation industry, construction companies, funeral services and restaurants. Practically ruling Italy.

3. Families are scattered all over Italy. Nicolas has estimated that Passione could very much have 850+ active members.

It made hiding from Passione's radar all the more difficult, as they've now know, Passione has eyes and ears everywhere. They're forced into hiding like rats forced to flee to the sewers.

As for the man with the necklace, they have no clue. Even with Nicolas's computer expertise it was futile. The man they were chasing after was like a gust of wind. You can feel its there and you know it's there, but you can never grasp it as it only seep through your fingers.

So what's the verdict? Their leader, Khain, has decided to make amends with Passione so they have one less problem. Although the chances of it succeeding was as close as to winning a horse race on foot and that is, zero.

Mafia's are know for being a force to be reckoned with. They're people with power and money, they associate themselves with known figures and they're armed to the core. But the fact that Passione put a stop to drug transaction and made Italy all the better was enough to know that they held a chance with the plan being successful. It was slim but it was there and it was better than nothing.

If it fails however. . .

Let's not think about it.

(Y/n) sat down at a tall building looking over at cafe establishment. The cold evening breeze messes her hair, but it was nice and it brought her comfort. Along with her was Leonardo, who was looking through his stands scope to scout out anybody who's looking suspicious.

They were assigned to watch over the couple whom hire them to avenge their daughter.

Their leader believe that Passione would send their man to interrogate the couple about their group's whereabouts and how they've contacted them. If a men were to come along and did just that, they were to subdue and leave his unconscious body in some ditch with an envelope for the Don.

(Y/n) doesn't know what the envelope contain but she was sure it was a letter apologizing but also politely but very much telling Passione to just fuck off.

"Seen anyone yet, Leo?" (Y/n) hummed breaking the silence. She heard shuffling and from her peripheral vision saw Leo taking a seat next to her.

"No." Leo gruffly says and dangle his long legs at the edge of building, "it's been 2 days and no one has showed up."

"Could they have lost interest?" The girl naively asks and turns to look at his side features. Bags were beginning to form under his eyes and his frown was deeper than usual.

"No. Remember the mission with the lovers?" He turns to ask me and I just nod, "Nicolas confirmed that 12 men went to the crime scene right after the police has left. After that the police didn't step near the crime scene nor was it reported in the news. Said that it could be Passione's lackey. In conclusion, those bastards are still onto our asses."

"I see."

It was silent again as we watch people go on with their lives, there were no suspicious activities and I could still see the daughter's mother serving people from where I'm sitting. I then snicker as I remember something from today. Leo only raised an eyebrow at what I could possibly find amusing.

"Would you believe me if I say that Passione has affiliated themselves with the Speedwagon Foundation?"

"Speedwagon?" Leo's eyes widened by a fracture and his eyebrows shot up to the skies. I laugh softly as his reaction and nod.

"Yeah, I was shocked too. I still can't wrap my head around with the fact that a foundation as such would associate themselves with Mafias," I looked up at the starless skies of Naples and watch as a plane flew by, "We're in pretty deep shit if the Don is that influential."

Leo went silent, probably processing the information as well. "Doubt that, you know Khain has everything under control."

You're just reassuring yourself that. I smiled solemnly. I, of course, have faith in Khain. In our team. But it still doesn't shake off this dreadful feeling. Passione is bigger and much more powerful than our last encounters. Not only do we have to worry about Passione, we also have to retrieve the necklace, and we also have to worry about the orphans back at home.

"(Y/n) get on your feet, I spotted someone getting in through the windows just now."

Author's Note

This is more a filler chapter as I'm quite lost what happens after the last chapter so I just settled with a little time skip!
