Catra's P.O.V.
I groaned, feeling something poking at my cheek. I groaned, shoving her hand away.
"Stop that...." I murmured, pulling the blanket over my head. I could hear that familiar giggle, and the blanket was yanked off of me.
"Come on now, Catra. It's time to get up. I wanna get some training done." Adora replied. I didn't bother moving though, and laid right where I was with my eyes closed. However, I let out a hiss as sunlight struck my eyes, and immediately shielded my eyes with one arm. "Ow! Adora!" I whined.
She laughed and I could hear her footsteps coming towards me. "Come on, let's go- WHOA!" in one swift movement, I grabbed her arm and pinned her to the bed, immediately pressing my lips against her. Her eyes widened, staring at me in shock. I just smirked against her lips as I tried to keep a giggle from escaping me. Once I pulled away, she smiled.
"That wasn't fair."
"You started it." I stated. She giggled, and leaned up for another kiss, to which I gladly kissed back. This one was longer, and more gentle. More loving. After the appropriate moment of kissing, I gently pulled away, and she smiled.
"I love you." she said.
"I love you too." I replied.
* * * *
I yawned and stretched my arm back, tail flickering behind me. Adora smiled. "Did you sleep well last night?" she asked. "I did actually. It wasn't too hot this time, so I could fall asleep easier. No nightmares either." I replied. Normally I have a hard time falling asleep. Once in awhile I'll have a bad dream about my time with the Horde. But at least I have Adora right beside me when it happens, and she comforts me afterwards.
We finally arrived to the dining hall, where I could see Bow, Glimmer, and King Micah at the table. The three of them looked up at us, each one of them smiling.
"There you guys are, what took you so long?" Glimmer said. "Sorry, one of us wouldn't wake up." Adora said, nudging me. I rolled my eyes as she and I sat down.
"Well sorry for liking to sleep." I replied. "Well, you could sleep more a bit later. Maybe take a cat nap." Bow said, chuckling afterwards. I giggled, running a hand through my hair. "Very funny." I said, grabbing my fork and began to eat.
"I'm glad you were able to sleep well. No nightmares this time around?" Glimmer asked. Pretty much everyone knew about my nightmares, but it didn't bother me. I'm getting used to telling everyone what was on my mind or how I was feeling. It felt better than hiding it. Sometimes they would even help me. It was nice. "No, not this time. It might've been that tea you recommended to me, King Micah. I think it really helped. Thank you." I said.
"But of course. I'm always happy to help a friend of my daughter's. I'm glad it was helpful." King Micah said.
I took a bite of the food before me, humming happily to its taste. I am sooooo glad I don't have to eat the Horde food anymore. I cannot believe I put up with it for so long. This is way better than anything they've ever served.
"Before you came in, Glimmer was telling King Micah about one of our adventures. Do you wanna hear about it too?" Bow asked. I nodded. "Oh yeah. This should be good." I said. "Okay, so it was awhile ago. We were gonna check out one of our farming towns, Alwyn. We had lost communication with them for some reason, and we didn't know why." Glimmer explained.
"Oho no, not this one...." Adora giggled, looking away. I raised a brow. "Oh? Something that embarrasses Adora? Now I'm really curious." I said.
"We got to the town, and it was dead empty. No people, no animals, nothing. All the houses were empty. It was really eerie and creepy. We pretty much freaked ourselves out." Bow replied. "Well Adora wasn't helping much, saying all these creepy ghost stories she heard from the Horde." Glimmer stated. "How was I supposed to know none of them were true?!" Adora cried. I gave a laugh, trying not to choke on my food.
