Scorpia's P.O.V.
I inhaled and exhaled, watching as the boat gently went across the blue water. Catra was sitting at the top of the boat, acting as a scout for enemy ships and such. Double Trouble was still pouting about falling into the water earlier, and I wasn't exactly sure where Entrapta went. She just went to the bottom of the ship, saying she was gonna work on something.
I sighed, pushing my hair back with one claw. "You look happy. What's got you in a good mood?" Double Trouble asked, walking over to my side.
"I'm just happy to be doing missions with Wildcat again. I mean, we barely did anything since after the war. Now, I feel like we're really starting to connect again. Even better....she wants to connect with me." I replied. The shape shifter smiled.
"Yes, Catra was telling about that. About wanting to bond more with you guys, and even fix things after what happened." they said. "Not just her. I'm glad Entrapta could join us too. Everything is always interesting when she's around." I said.
"Well, that's one way too put it. A little annoying is another...." Double Trouble muttered, looking away. I giggled. "I'm really so sorry about that. But she's really not that bad. Trust me, even though she can get a little crazy, you never have a dull moment with her around." I said. "And the three of you used to hang out together? You must've been quite the trio." Double Trouble said.
"Oh yeah, we were the best of friends. I mean, hehe, this is kinda embarrassing to admit, but I even gave us a silly nick name. The, uh, Super Pal Trio." I replied, laughing nervously. Immediately I regretted saying that, and my face blushed brightly.
"What is wrong with you, Scorpia! You're embarrassing yourself!" I thought. Double Trouble laughed, smiling at me. "Oh yeah? That's kinda cute. A little childish perhaps, but really, who cares what anyone else thinks?" they replied. I looked at them surprised. "Oh, uh, y-yeah! My thoughts exactly! There's no need to impress anyone or care what they think!" I stated.
"Now you're talking." Double Trouble stated.
"Another fun fact: I actually first met Catra doing a mission at Salineas. So doing this mission on a boat brings back a lot of nostalgia." I said. "Oh? I'm surprised. I assumed you and Catra had grown up together, like she did with Adora. I mean, you were both part of the Horde since you were kids, right?" Double Trouble asked.
"I mean, we were, but we never hung out with anyone else. As far as I know, Catra only had Adora growing up. As for me, well....no one liked me. So, at the time, I was best friends with myself." I replied. That was when the shape shifter looked at me surprised, crossing their arms across their chest.
"You? Alone? That can't be right. You always seem pretty friendly with others, so how could anyone not like you?" they asked. I sighed, looking down at the ocean. "That's what I always asked myself...." I murmured. Double Trouble's expression softened, and they took another step closer to me. I glanced at them, seeing their pitiful expression, so I quickly put on a smile and sighed.
"But anyway, I'm glad the Super Pal Trio has been reunited!" I stated. I blinked, realizing something.
"Well, actually, you're here with us....so I guess its the Super Pal Quad now." I said. That made Double Trouble's eyes widened, looking at me surprised. I tilted my head. "I mean, that is the right word, right? Quad? You know, since there's four of us." I said. The shape shifter looked away from me, eyes narrowing. I blinked, about to ask them what was wrong, but I found myself remaining silent.
"Man, it is boring up there." I looked over, seeing Catra climbing down from the top and landing in front of us. "What're you two talking about?" she asked.
