[Kid!Bakugo x Kid!Reader] Gone

Bakugo' Pov

I met (Y/N) in the park.
I was standing on the bench, hugging my knees, crying for I don't remember what reason. And then, they appeared.

"You look sad" they said sitting next to me on the bench

"I'm not.." I said without lifting my head to meet thier gaze.

"You are, you are crying..." and then they put an arm around me "Don't be sad..there's no need for that.." they said in a soft tone. And I calmed down. They whispered something in a low tone, so I would be the only one who could hear them.

"I'm (L/N) by the way...but you can call me (Y/N), what's your name?" they said smiling

"Bakugo..Bakugo Katsuki..." I said looking up at them. I tried to act cool but that failed and make them laugh. They had a bright smile on thier face, and that made me smile too.

"Katsuki is a cute name" they said looking away at the cloudy sky.

And then, we became friends.

We always hang out in the park after school. They were really shy and silent with new people, but if they felt comfortable they would not stop talking.

They were really smart, and that surprised me. We both had 6-7 years and they already knew advanced math. They would wake up at random times, talking about random things, indifferent you didn't ask them or didn't even open a subject close to that.

"Did you know butterflies are nearsighted but can see colours?" They said while we were playing football. Some other kids turned to them with a confused look.

They had a brilliant mind and an awsome memory. They could remember what they ate three weeks ago, at the exact time and place.
They were different from the other children and that's why no one was open to befriend them.

They weren't afraid to tell their opinion of everthing. If they liked something or didn't, they would say it right there out loud.

"I'm sorry, but I don't like those cupcakes" they said after they bit once of the cupcakes my mom gave me to eat.

We were good friends, and always hang out together, with Deku and the others. They had a simple quirk, they could only see throught darkness, as it would be light. But with that genius mind, I bet they would be a great hero.
We said we will go to U.A together and become heroes...but those were only dreams of the past..

"Goodbye Katsuki! See you tomorrow!" They said waving their hand at me. Whoever thought that would be the last time I will ever see them.

NEWS: 14 March: a 8 years old kid had disappeared last night

I still remember that day like it was yesterday. The day when I lost my best friend. I still see cleary their happy smile befor they left..and never came back.

The news were shocking. A 8 years old child disappeared. I refuse to thing it was them...until a picture of the (H/C) haired kid appeared on the TV screen.

NEWS: this missing child goes by the name (Y/N) (L/N), if you have any imformations about them or thier whereabouts, please contact the police immediate-

You were...gone

Who would do something like this? Kidnapping a poor child who only wanted to go home? After some days, other kidnappings appeared. Other unlucky children.

NEWS: 21 March: it's been a weak and the police haven't found the little kid nor the other victims

Were you a special target? Or just a random person that happened to be in the kidnapper's way?

Standing here right in the place you left, it makes me feel anxious. Here, I left you going home alone, and here, I left you going to your death.

NEWS: today is 12 April and the body of the little kid (Y/N) (L/N) had been found near the river, about the criminal and the other victi-

I couldn't watch the news anymore..it felt so wrong. I felt so bad about leaving you alone that night. We were friends for 2 years now...I'm ashamed of myself.

I am 16 now. It's been 8 years since you disappeared..and died. And they still didn't find the murderer...our dream is gone, just as you..if only I could change that mistake I made, only if I could walk you home that night...you would still be here...And I'm so sorry for not doing so...
I guess this is a last...

(A/N: I hope you enjoyed this! sorry if this was bad, is my first time writing one-shots? Anyway, sorry for the sad ending. I just finished watching the anime called "Erased" and I got inspirated. Yes, I know Erased has a happy ending but I said to change the plot a bit, because then it would look just like the anime and I don't want this
