"RICH TELL YOUR SON TO STOP CLIMBING THE TREE." eddie yelled from the kitchen.

"okay, hold on eds." richie finished writing a segment and ran to the backyard.

"alexander tozier what the hell are doing?" richie makes eye contact with him.

"what does it look like i'm doing dad. i'm climbing the tree."

"well eds told me to get you down from there."

alex laughed and started climbing up more. "come up and get me."

"you are going to be the death of me kid." richie walked to the tree and started to climb.

meanwhile...

"hey bri pass me the butter."

"here dad." brianna passes the butter to eddie.

he puts the butter in a saucepan and starts mixing it slowly watching it melt. "wanna mix this while i add the flour?" brianna walks around the counter and grabs hold of the spatula. eddie begins to sift in the flour slowly.

"hey dad?" bri ponders.

"yeah hun?"

"i just realized that we could be like the alphabet family. like abcde."

eddie thinks about that for a second. "how?"

"well for A we have alexander, B is me brianna, C is chee," eddie smiles at that, " we don't have a D but we could always get a dog," brianna winks, "and then E is you."

"yeah you're right. we just need to convince chee to get a dog."

"are you saying we can get one?" brianna looks at eddie wide-eyed.

"definitely. i've always wanted a dog."

eddie and brianna finished balling up the cookie batter and put it in the oven. "wanna watch the new ghostbusters while we wait for the cookies?"

about fourteen minutes into the movie eddie wonders where richie and alex are. "did your dad or brother ever come inside?"

"i haven't heard or seen them." eddie pauses the movie so they can find them. the pair both get up and search the house.

"i didn't see them anywhere."

eddie realizes what he asked richie to do earlier. "outside."

bri and eddie book it outside and they hear slight laughing up in the big oak tree. the pair slowly look up. they see alex and richie smiling down at them.

"how in the hell did you get up there? why are you up there?"

"we just wanted to monkey around eds." richie winks and wobbles slightly. that's when bri heard the oven ding. "cookies!"

"dad catch me." eddie holds his arms out for alexander.

eddie, brianna, and alexander starts running to the kitchen when eddie shouts, "no cookies for you chee."

"WAIT eduardo i can't get down."

"sorry, i can't catch your dumbass." eddie smirks and runs through the open screen door.

brianna pulls out four plates while eddie gets the cookies out of the oven. "so monkey man," eddie says, "wanna help me and bri convince chee to get a dog?" the 6 year old opens his mouth and lets out a squeal.

eddie smiles widely at the reaction. "i take that as a yes?" alex and bri nod rapidly. that's when they heard a thud come from outside and footsteps running inside.
