When RP Comes True IRL

The Midnight Man Pt. 1) Everyone Gathers

"Hey Tom." I hear from outside my front door by my best friend, 14 year old girl named Alex. I get up from my awful looking beige sofa in my living room and walk to the dark brown door to my small house and open it. "Hey Alex." I say welcoming her in. Alex looks around confused. "Where is everyone?" She asks. "Alex, your early anyways, they'll be here soon." I respond.

Alex was absolutely beautiful in my eyes. She has long, blonde hair always in a pony tail, hazel eyes, and she's pale but if she got a tan it would ruin her look. She has a cute small nose and lips and perfect in every aspect. She was neither an introvert or extrovert but kept to herself a lot with emotional things. She was nice to everyone and loved by everyone well except for maybe Sarah.

Every week on Friday, Me, Alex, Sarah and Lexi would have an RP of a different type like adventure, action, etc. It's been going on for a month now and this week we're doing a horror. I lead Alex to my old-style kitchen. "Hey, did you want somethin' to drink?" I ask as I walk deeper into the kitchen to the brown cabinets. "Yeah sure, can I have a glass of water?" She asks. "Of course." I say as I reach into one of the cabinets and pull out a glass. I bring it to the faucet and begin filling it up. I know how cliche it was for one of the best friends having a crush on the other but that's what it was. I have had a crush on her from the moment we were friends. "I finish filling her glass, turn off the faucet and bring the cup to her. "Knock, knock!" Says Lexi, the quirky one, from outside the door. "I'll be right back." I say to Alex as I run to the door and open it. "You know you can just knock instead of saying 'knock, knock'." I say smiling at her and Sarah next to her. Lexi smirks. "You really don't think I know that." She says raising her eyebrows and walking past me.

Lexi was very pretty too, she had long curly dirty blonde hair and faint blue eyes. She was very tan and kind of short for her age. She was moody and she was always being weird which made us all pretty embarrassed a lot but also brought us more together, she was the rope tying us together.

Sarah followed her in with her head down and as she passes me she shyly looks up at me. "Hey Tommy." She says. "Hey Sarah." I say as she tries poorly to hide a wide smile for some reason.

Sarah was the youngest one, 13 and probably the least popular in school but she was shy and nice, never hurt anyone. She did though get really mad at Lexi sometimes. She was small for her age, she had straight crimson brown hair and brown eyes and glasses. She was in between pale and tan, it was a perfect skin tone. I also sometimes catch her looking at me which is strange.

I close the door and walk into the kitchen where Lexi is sitting next to Alex at the dark stained dining table. Sarah was tip toed and had her hands on the edge of the sink looking out the window at something curiously. "Anyone want anything before we start?" I ask. "Ooh! Can I have some Oreos?" Lexi asks excitedly as she raises out of her chair slightly. She eats so much junk but yet she's still so skinny and looks so healthy. "Um, we don't have Oreos..." I respond. "Aww... shoot!" She sinks back into her chair. Then she gets right back up. "Ooh! What other sweets do you have?!" She asks. "We have some donuts from a couple days ago." I answer unenthusiastically. "Oh! Sure, throw me some!" She says as she turns fully my way. I open a box and throw her a couple donuts. She digs in like a vulture.

"SO guys, did you want to discuss what to do for our roleplay?" I ask. "Yeah, so this week we do horror, anyone have any ideas?" Alex says. "What if they're like doing a séance?" Lexi suggests while she shoves the last bute of her donut in her mouth. "Then what should happen?" I ask really for anyone's suggestions. Sarah turns from the window. "Well first like the lights could ominously go out and they're stuck in the dark with no light. Then they hear thunder and the door creaks open and after a few seconds of silence in the blood-curdling moment a flash of lightning goes off and it lights up the room revealing a stunningly tall black figure bending over them. Then other things can happen too. Anyone else?" Sarah finishes looking at each one of us. We stare at her in shock. "How long were you waiting to say all that?" I ask. "I just made it up on the spot..." Sarah says innocently. "Wow, nice girl! I guess there's no happy ending for this one; am I right? lol." Lexi says. "Lexi you don't have to say 'lol' it's just an implied thing if it's actually funny." I say trying to sound all smart. Lexi looks at me, that way, with her lips pinched and her hand on her hip, then she just starts laughing. "Okay then, who wants to come up with the names for our characters?" Alex asks. "What if we just keep our names?" Sarah suggests. "Alright, I guess." I confirm. "Where do you want to do it?" Lexi asks. "My room probably." I say as we all get up and walk into my room...
