A/N: I created the following chapter's storyline with @demigodiswizard and Just_A_Lad using our three of our characters, along with their interpretations of Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo. Sakura Hoshakari and Inashi Arasi are their characters from their published works. This chapter will affect my characters and the following chapters. It is also the length of eight of my usual chapters, so get cozy 'cause it's a long ride.
"How do you not like movies?"
"I think they're superfluous, Denki. I'd rather do something useful."
"And playing Monopoly is useful?"
"When I land on Free Parking and get all the money, it is." Denki and I had been playing Monopoly for nearly an hour, and still no winner had emerged. We were out of our hero costumes from training and in civilian clothes with jackets around our shoulders (Denki kept his dorm room really cold). It felt weird to be doing something as minor as training when I was about to fight the League of Villains and possibly die, but whatever.
"Bet. You won't."
I rolled my eyes, picked up the dice, and rolled the six I needed to land on Free Parking. "Just did."
"No!" Denki slumped in his chair. "Please, please, please don't build on the greens."
"Victory waits for no one," I said, placing the hotel tokens on the properties.
"Don't you love me anymore?"
I laughed, but my laugh was cut short by the arrival of a swirling warp gate behind Denki.
"Kaiya, don't--"
"Kurogiri," I hissed at the warp gate. "Stay away from me."
It didn't.
I placed my mask over my mouth and nose before getting up from the floor of what seemed to be a back alley of some sort.
"Denki?" I asked as I stood up, my eyes adjusting to the dark.
Someone attacked me, sending my head slammed back into the ground.
"What have you done with Inashi?" the person snarled. "And how do you know Kaminari?"
I swung wildly and somehow made contact with the person's face. "I don't know who Inashi is. And how do you know Denki?"
"You don't get to ask questions until you've answered mine!"
I ducked the explosion aimed toward me, but in the light, I recognized the attacker. "Bakugo? What are you--"
"I don't know you," Bakugo said. "Don't act like you know me."
"You do know me! I sit next to you in class," I said. "You even crashed my first date with Denki!"
"Kaminari has never been on a date in his life."
"Do you seriously not know who I am?"
"No."
"Hold up," I said, raising a hand to stop him before he attacked me again. "Look at me." Bakugo looked a little older, now that I thought about it. And his costume was a little different. And he obviously didn't know me.
"Stop being weird."
I pretended he hadn't said anything. "Who is Inashi?"
"My girlfriend."
"I gathered. I mean who is she?"
"Student at UA," Bakugo said. "Her sister runs the Cyclone Hero Agency."
