Little girls bleed in puddles on the bathroom floor tiles of ceramic.

They reveal their hearts of tar, stitched together by school counselors.

Diseased minds and plagued bodies.

Their odor being one with panic.

Barbed wire wraps itself around their feeble stomachs.

A dry thirsty burden clutches to throats and swollen sensitive eyes glimmer.

This is an acquired taste of adolescence.

Give the heavens a vengeful death from us.

Plastic pale gums line their loose mouths,

Filling up with acidity their body becomes a nuclear minefield.

The depth of liberation needed to make these young ones whole again would shock a nation.

Gnarled limbs and coiled hair stick to bathtubs.

Are we surprised they tried to drown?
