Deku POV
I couldn't believe that Kacchan was in the same class as me. My childhood friend was in the same class as me...again. I was actually quite relieved because I wanted to see how much he would improve over time. I sort of looked up to Kacchan a little, he had an awesome quirk and was so strong...I was just a weakling compared to him. Now that I had a quirk I wanted to show him I could be more like him and we could both become pro heroes just like All Might! Our classmates were all chatting...me and Kacchan were the only ones who were silent. It felt awkward for some reason. I really wanted to make a simple conversation with him but my mouth just wouldn't move. Why couldn't I talk to him?
Bakugou POV
Me and deku were the only quiet ones in the class, but I wasn't here to make friends anyway so it didn't really matter to me.
Deku: K-Kacchan?
Bakugou: What the hell do you want deku?
Deku: I erm, forgot a pen in all of the commotion today and I really could use a spare one if you have it... *continues to mutter*
Bakugou: Ugh if you shut up you can borrow a pen, but I want it back
Deku: T-thanks Kacchan
Bakugou: I suppose you're welcome, don't say I never give you anything
Did I just willingly give Deku a pen? Why was I nice to him all of a sudden? I mean we are childhood friends but just because we have known each other a long time doesn't mean I've gotta be nice to him...I don't even know why I gave him it!
Deku POV
The truth was, I had a pen...I just wanted to at least say something to Kacchan. Whenever I speak to him he usually just yells at me to shut up...I had just realised that he gave me a pen without hesitation. He didn't seem too angry, he just seemed slightly distracted by my mumbling. I didn't know what was going on through his head but I felt like something wasn't right.
Bakugo POV
Mr Aizawa was writing on the board, telling us to take notes on the important things. I couldn't concentrate...my head was all over the place. I couldn't stop thinking about why I gave Deku my pen, he's such a nerd!
Aizawa: Bakugo are you listening to me? Bakugo?! *Sighs*
Deku POV
I tapped Bakugo on the shoulder because he seemed to have completely lost concentration. I was ready and waiting for him to turn around and yell...instead he turned his head, smirked a little and spoke to me in a less harsh tone.
Bakugo: Huh, oh erm thanks nerd...I was in my own world there...totally not thinking about anything strange at all *blushes*
Deku: You're welcomeeee...?
*whispers* Kacchan, you're...blushing a little.
Bakugo: Of course I'm not blushing you damn moron! I don't...i don't do that!
Deku POV
Everyone turned to stare at Bakugo because as usual he shouted instead of being quiet. I tried to keep things subtle but Kacchan made it worse for himself.
Bakugo POV
I got lost in my own thoughts...why? Why can't I stop thinking about Deku?
Bakugo: Wait...deku? I don't care about damn Deku! What the hell is wrong with me?!
Deku: Kacchan? We- I thought we were friends...
Bakugo: Yeah well you thought wrong dumbass, I'm getting the hell out of here I need a snack
Aizawa: Bakugo you can't just up and leave my class without permission!
Bakugo: I do whatever I want!
Aizawa: *Uses his scarf to grab Bakugo* Your first impression wasn't great so I suggest you sit down so I can continue sleeping...I mean, teaching!
