Sam's POV
After hours of studying , I packed up and left. I went to the bus stop and connected my earphones to my phone and played Rain by SWV, yeah don't look shocked I listen to old school music honey. I caught the bus and I saw a elderly couple walking their dog while holding hands. I wanted that for myself. To hold my man and take afternoon walks together while watching our grandbabies run around us but hey I'm still young so I guess I'll get there some day. I closed my eyes and let the song carry me.

I felt someone nudge me and open my eyes and some lady asked if I haven't passed my stop. I looked out and lucky my stop was next , I thanked her and stood up and walked to the door. The bus stopped and I got off and walked to the complex, when I got to the parking lot I saw a red mustang and I concluded that James was here , oh that's my sisters man. I opened the door and was immediately welcomed by the smell of food and I knew Amanda threw down in the kitchen. I walked deeper into the apartment and saw the couple sucking faces , I rolled my eyes and pinched Gabby on her arm and ran to the kitchen. " Sam you bitch!!" yelled Gabby. Amy laughed when she saw me and I stuck my tongue out and went to hug Amanda. " Gabby will kill you one of these days you know that". I snorted " what did you cook Mama", " Boy you white act white, busy acting like black folk" I laughed cause Amanda is black and she's always telling me I'm black inside and just got the wrong skin. " Girl bye, but for reals what did you cook Amy I'm starving" she laughed I dished up some Mac'nCheese with veggies on the side, I immediately drooled and poured some orange juice in my glass and grabbed some wine and poured it into two wine glasses and grabbed a beer. Gabby and James walked into the kitchen and James greeted me and I handed him his beer. " how was the library Sammy" asked Gabby, I looked at her like she dum and said "Quite, what else would happen in the library ? ". "I don't know maybe you finally found a man " , " Leave Sammy alone Gabby, his fine alone" Amanda stepped in being the mama bear she is. I chuckled and Mantha walked in carrying bags from Wal-Mart. " Y'all disloyal hoes don't even wait for me" snapped Mantha. We all laughed and Amanda dished up for her and gave her. Mantha greeted and dinner was eaten over light conversation. The couple left probably for some adult fun while Mantha turned to me , " Sam what happened yesterday at the club?" , " Yeah, you just dragged us out before we could get out freak on" whined Amanda. I just knew I had to explain why we left so early and I was so not looking forward to them screaming and shouting at me😣
