✒Diana

After a few minutes of reading, I hear a familiar irritating voice. "Good Morning Diana!" Gaston greets me. I groan on the inside. "Good Morning," I greet him back while not turning my gaze away from my favorite book.

When he notices that I am not looking at him, he puts some flowers in between me and the book to gain my attention. I finally look at him with an annoyed expression painted on my face. "What?" I ask.

"Flowers for you," he grins like an idiot. I want to punch away his perfect white teeth. "No thank you, Gaston," I push the flowers back towards him. But he puts the flowers in front of my face and insists, "These flowers are for you my love." I gag at the the words my love.

I give him a fake gritted smile. "Shall I join you for dinner this evening?" he asks and I tell him, "I am so sorry Gaston but I have plans." "What plans do you have this evening?" he pushes and I look at Belle for help.

"She is joining us for dinner tonight Gaston," Belle helps me. "Then I must join your dinner with Maurice," he says happily. I mentally face palm myself. Idiot.

"How about some other night Gaston?" I tell him so he would stop pushing himself. "Sure," he smiles and I let out a sigh of relief.

"See you tomorrow night," he grabs my hand and kisses it. I roll my eyes at his gesture. He then starts to finally leave us alone.

"You're going to dinner with him tomorrow night?" Belle questions and I tell her, "Of course not. I will be hiding to Pere Robert's library to get away from him." She laughs at my plan. "That sounds like a terrible plan Diana," she honestly says to me. "I know it is not the best but it is worth the try."

I look at Gaston as he stare himself at the mirror. "Belle, can you imagine me as his wife?" I look at her and Belle laughs. "Not at all." "I just hate every inch of him. I don't want to be his wife," I tell her. "He is so full of himself. He will never care about me. He will never win my heart. I will not marry that idiot."

Belle sighs before closing her book. She pulls my hand. "Come on. Let us go," she says and I ask her, "Where are we headed?" "To Papa," she simply replies. We walk our way to her and Maurice's home.

I see Clothilde with some eggs on her hand. "Are they expensive?" I ask her and she nods, "They are so expensive." I shake my head. "I'll give you eggs next time Clothilde," I say to her and she smiles widely. "Thank you Diana. You are a life saver," she thanks me and I tell her, "It's nothing."

We pass by at a familiar house. "Excuse me Belle," I excuse myself and Belle nods. I buy some flowers before walking to the home of old Monsieur Harold.

I knock on the door. "Please come in," the old man says and I do so. "Ah Diana! How is my favorite girl doing?" he tells me with a lovely sincere and genuine smile on his face. "I'm doing fine Monsieur Harold. Here are some flowers for your dinner table," I give him the beautiful flowers that I bought. "These are very lovely, Diana."

"Do you need some help later on your garden?" I offer and he nods, "I do. I am having a back problem today and I can't water the flowers and vegetables." "I'll come by in the afternoon Monsieur Harold. I promise," I tell him and he smiles, "Thank you Diana. You are such a kind lady." "It's nothing."

"Well, I must be going. See you later Monsieur Harold," I head to the door. "See you darling," he waves his hand.

After that, I meet with Belle. We walk to her home. I open the door and see Maurice tinkering with something. "Good Morning Maurice," I say as I knock on the door. "Diana! How lovely for you to come," he says as he puts down the music box.  He stands up and embraces me.

Maurice treats me as his own daughter. Belle treats as her sister. They are the own family that accepted me. But I still can't believe that they accept me. They accept the weird old me.

"What book do you have there?" he asks and I show him the cover. "It's Guinevere and Lancelot," I tell him and he smiles, "It's your favorite book." He knows it's my favorite book? How did he know?

"You Belle? What did you get?" he looks at his daughter. "It's the same book. I haven't finish reading it yet," she explains and Maurice nods.

"How are you doing Diana?" he asks and I sigh. "Did Gaston bothered you again?" he guesses and I nod as my answer. "Oh Diana. Just leave him be. He will move on another girl soon," he tries to cheer me up. "He has been trying to get my attention for four years, Maurice. I don't think he will move on," I point out.

   "Come on. Let's eat breakfast..."
