Chapter One: The Beginning

Fairy Tail:Dragon Fever

Lucy POV

'Why is it so warm?' Then I heard it the most unnerving sound in the world

"Snrkx.........Mmmmm"

I turned and there was Natsu sleeping in my arm chair "NATSU!!" I screamed

He jolted awake looking around frantically, till his steady onyx eyes landing finally on me "Morning Luce"

"Why are you here?" I asked as I got up and started to clean up my room

"Mirajane asked me to bring you home" He stated calmly "Cana, You, Master and Juvia had a drinking contest, you ended up passing out after your first mug" his voice was a little rough but I paid no mind to it

I sighed rubbing my temple "Well that explains a lot" silence lapped the room for a few minutes before I heard a strange noise I looked up towards Natsu, he had his face buried in his scarf and his eyes were squeezed shut. I walked over to him cupping his face lightly it was extremely hot "Natsu, are you ok?"

He opened his eyes ever so slowly, they were watery "M'fine" he mumbled

"Natsu" my tone went from worry to drop dead serious "Tell me the truth now"

He looked me in the eye and then turned away quickly covering his mouth with his scarf, his breath started to hitch "Heh-Shhh!"

"Natsu!" I slapped him on the back of the head "Don't lie when it's painfully obvious that your not fine"

He looked up, I decide it be good idea to take in he's features his eyes were watering like crazy now, his nose was turning a light shade of pink, he was sweating now, and most concerning was that his face was quickly forming a flushed hue across his cheeks

"Luce, I already said i'm fine" Natsu's voice had threats laced into it but the threats were pointless due to the raspy sound that was emitting from the back of his throat

I scoffed at him, I grabbed his ear and dragged him to my bed and forced him to lie down. After some complaints form the sick dragon slayer he finally fell asleep

Time Skip 1hr

About an hour after Natsu fell asleep his fever started to spike and that's when things started to go wrong............
