Chapter Eight: Just An Act

Recap...

"Lucy, WAIT!!" Grey screamed, but I kept running, I was jealous and if I went back there things wouldn't be good

Lucy's POV

I tried to out run Grey but it seemed impossible. Just as I reached the park a hand gripped my wrist, I turned to see Grey and at the moment I wish I didn't have to he looked mad.

"Lucy" his voice was stern almost daring me to try and get away. I gulped I knew Grey was nice and all but at this moment I was terrified.

I gave him a shaky smile "What Grey?"

"What's going on between you and flames for brains?" Grey inquired his eyebrow raised, I felt tears well up in my eyes Grey's eyes widened he let go of my wrist and pulled me close to him "Shh it'll be ok I promise" his soft words calmed me down "But for me to fix it you'll have to tell me what's wrong first"

I sighed pulling away slightly I looked at Grey "Okay" I barely said above a whisper and with that I was recounting the events of what had happened over the past couple of days.

After I was done Grey didn't look at he stared at the ground with his eyebrows scrunched together. Then his face lit up in realization "I know what we should do" Grey smirked grabbing my hand "Come on I've got an idea"

I walked with Grey not to sure as to where we were going or what we were doing. We walked in silence in till the guild came into sight. I stopped "Grey" I asked sickly sweet "Why are we going back to the guild?"

Grey smiled "Cause I have a great idea" I gave him a confused look. Grey shook his head "Don't ask just follow my lead" I nodded as he continued to bring us closer to the guild. Once we were outside the doors Grey intertwined his hand with mine, then he pushed the doors open before I even knew what was happening. When we walked in all eyes were on us, people started whispering. I looked around just to meet eyes with Natsu, his face was impassive but I could see the pain and rage in his eyes. I smirked a little bit I'm glad he's pissed maybe this will teach him. Deciding I wanted to play this for all I had I turned to Grey.

"Grey baby?" I asked sweetly, but loud enough for everyone to hear "Can we go sit down now?"

Grey smiled "Of course Luce" He lead the way to the table Team Natsu was sitting at. We sat directly across from Natsu and Lisanna, Lisanna was smiling I could see she was actually happy about what had happened. Natsu was smiling but there was rage in his eyes, if looks could kill Grey would've died the moment we sat down. Grey smiled at Natsu "So Natsu, what do you think of me and Luce's relationship?" Grey kept using Natsu's nickname for me to piss Natsu of and it looked like it was working. I could see the emotion's flickering in his eyes pissed, guilt, sadness, the list went on. I could tell he was having an internal battle with himself.

Lisanna watch Natsu for a second her smile started to falter "Natsu go on tell Grey and Lucy how happy you are for them"

"I-I'm s-so ha-happy f-for you L-Luce" Natsu stuttered

Grey wrapped his arm around my shoulder "Now Natsu Lucy is my girlfriend you can't call her Luce anymore, cause she's mine" Grey's eyes challenged Natsu to say otherwise 

Natsu's eyes burned with intensity "I completely u-underst-" Natsu stop mid sentence. He clasped his head and screamed, an extreme amount of magic power was released and a ring on Natsu's finger broke off. 

Natsu growled his body lit up in flames. Looking at Grey with pure hatred Natsu walked up to him and grabbed his collar "Get your hands off of my Luce" Natsu roared throwing Grey into a wall.

A/N: I know after such a long time it's really mean for a cliffhanger but it's how I normally end them so... Anyway new chapter soon though I promise.
