"I can wait but this can't"

Her words hit me somewhere it shouldn't at the moment. I took the steering into control, still my gaze fixed on her when I turned the car to the other empty side of the road and peddled the accelerator taking the opposite direction.

She knocked me out of my ego as I was too haughty about the fact that I should drop her home first because I dragged her into the car to begin with.

But this was uncalled and it made me furious to think that someone did that to my company. They'll suffer my wrath. I'll not leave them alone. Just wait till I get a name to go with their faces.

Against all odds we reached the office soon enough. I rushed into the building and into the private elevator completely forgetting the fact that she was behind me. I stopped the closing door right when she rushed in with the clicking heels. Her chest heaved up and down but she seemed to not show it that I behaved like a dick just now.

When the floor came into my view, I strode across the cabins to my room. John and Rohit, my senior hacker although he was only 22, was seated in the sofa at the far right corner. Three laptops were placed on the tea-table. "What's the position?" I sounded alarmed for once.

"We got through most of the systems and retrieved every thing. But the enemy had not gone for others like he did with yours" Rohit didn't lift his head off the screen. "What does that mean?"
"It means he wanted something he thought you had it in your system and hacking the others was just a sign of warning" he raised his eyes behind the spectacles to me.

Fuck! I knew who it was.

Ishwar.

It has to be him. It is laughable if he thought I might be so dumb like him to play this game casually. Like I would ever store the documents in the office system!

"I want every data restored and wall up the system against further intrusions" my voice boomed through the room. With a heavy nod, they both resumed back to their task at hand. I titled my head towards her direction who watched the city through the glass window that was dripping wet from the rain.
Her eyes were gleaming with pure excitement to the breath taking view of the city making more heat to pump in my body. I couldn't let myself to get distracted yet here she was, mesmerising me with just her presence. Her thought of giving my situation the first priority amazed me.

"Sir, there's some password required here" I heard John call me and I returned my attention to them. They shifted back to my desk and I headed to my seat getting my hands on the computer.

"When will your whole team arrive?" I asked as I typed away.

"Ah... they'll be here in few minutes. Sorry for the delay" at once, all turned their focus to the door from which Mihan came through. His eyes took in the people and I watched as it stopped at her. A surprise found its way on his face and instantly it turned out into a beam. He walked towards her who still stood by the window, now facing him. I tried to get my attention back to the screen though all I want to do is otherwise.

"You were the one who rejected my bro's gift right?" His voice was laced with amusement that my inners boiled. I told him to forget about that night and yet he had the nerve to say it out loud.

Rohit took over my place behind the desk while I stood watching her expression to his excitement. Her cheeks lit red and her lips were getting a hard time not to curve up.
