"Gally! What are you - uh - doing here?" I say frantically, attempting to hide the test behind my back. Sadly, Gally saw and grabbed my wrist gently.

"What's this, Y/N?" He asked, looking at it. Apparently he had no idea what a pregnancy test was. He took it from my hand and looked at it carefully, and, seeing what it was, at last, his eyes widened.

"Y/N...." He trailed off, noticing the plus meaning that I was pregnant. "Are you... pregnant?"

I looked down at my feet and nodded shyly. This was not the way I had been planning to tell him.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked, using his hand to lift my chin up.

"I was just uh, nervous because I didn't want you to be mad at me," I said, ashamed. I thought he would start yelling.

Instead, silence.

"Mad? Why would I be mad? This is the greatest day of my life!" He said, jumping up and down and whooping.

"Wh-what? You're not mad?" I was so surprised that he didn't yell. We had talked about children back in the glade and agreed it wouldn't be a good idea.

He stopped celebrating and took my hands in his. "Back in the glade, it wouldn't have been a good idea. But here," he gestured around, "here is perfect!"

He started celebrating again. "I'm gonna be a father, I'm gonna be a father, wait.." He stopped, thinking about something. "I don't know how to be a father," He mumbled. However, I didn't hear him.

"What happened? Gally?" I was confused, he was so happy and he just stopped and got sad! This was wonderful news, and he wasn't happy!

Gally started walking off. "I have to, um, go think for a second.." he ran off toward the creek.

"Gally!" I called after him but it was too late. I ran outside to find everyone staring at me.

"Y/N! Why is he running off?" Thomas yelled to me.

"And what was in his hand?"Minho added.

"Later!" I gave Thomas a look that said I have more important stuff right now and pointed to where Gally had run off to. He nodded, so I knew he understood, and I ran off in search of Gally again.

                                                                                 ***

I found him by the edge of the creek, where I had expected he would be. What I had not expected, however, was for him to be crying.

"Gally? Are you okay?" I asked kindly, careful not to disturb him when walking over and sitting next to him, "What's on your mind?"

"Oh, nothing...." He said trailing off. He had a hazed look in his eyes and looked to be in deep thought before I had arrived.

"Come on, we all know that isn't true," I started, chuckling, "I can't help you if you don't tell me."

"Okay okay," He said finally, after sitting in silence for a moment, "I'm just worried that I won't be a good father since I don't know what to do? What if they don't like me? What if, what if," He started breathing heavily but I calmed him down by rubbing his back.

"You're really worried about that?" I asked, and he looked up. "Well, if it makes you feel better, I have no idea how to be a mother either. But that's why we're gonna learn together. And I'm sure," I gestured back to where the others were, "I'm sure they'll help us. Now, why don't we go tell everyone the good news?" I finished, standing up. For a moment Gally didn't move and I got worried again, but then he stood up, a small smile on his face.

"I love you, you know that?" He said quietly, kissing my nose.

"Oh I know, and I love you too," I added.

As we walked back to tell everyone, I knew that whatever happened, Gally and I would have each other's backs.

After all, we were lovers. Lovers that had gone through so much.

But at last, we were lovers in paradise.
