Memories, that is all she had of her family. Memoires of her mother leaving her and her twin brother alone with their abusive and evil father. Memoires of her father teaching her and her brother how to kill, because that is what the Black family is good for, assassinations. Her father, Marcus Black, was the best assassin in Remnant and the worst father. So bad in fact that he left her on the streets of Vale at the mere age of 6 years old. He didn't have time to train two kids so he kept the one he believed had the most potential and discarded the other, that other being her.

More memories flashed through her head, including the first night she spent on the streets. They just kept coming, reminding her of all the things she had to withstand to survive. The last memory that flash in her mind was her being beaten almost to death and what looked like a child angel coming down to save her. Just as the angel was about to touch her hand she gasped out before letting out a soft groan as her eyes began to open.

She was in an unfamiliar place laying in a bed that did not belong to her. As her eyes began to adjust to the light she heard a young boy's voice say something but she couldn't make it out fully. "W-Who's there, w-where am I?" she asked her vision coming back to her fully which allowed her to see a young boy with platinum blonde hair and wing of the same color.

"You're in my bedroom! My name's Cenn. I found you in a park. You were hurt really bad so I brought you back here with my mama!" The boy said happily as he leaned close with his arms folded over.

Just as the girl was about to say something the door to the room swung open and two adults came walking in. One is a woman with similar colored hair and matching wings as the young boy and the other a man a somewhat tall man with short chestnut hair and cobalt eyes.

The woman was the first to speak as they both walked into the room, "Oh, thank goodness! Hello, there honey. You must be very confused, aren't you?" The woman said as she kneeled beside her son.

The simply nodded, not saying a word as she took her surroundings in. Her inner survivalist kicking in.

The woman smiled at the girl before introducing herself, "Well, my name is Lilith Lonacht. You can call me Lily, and the man in the door over there is my husband, Kel. And you have already met my Son Cenn. Now, what is your name?"

The girl looked up at Lilith for a moment before finally speaking, "Alice... my name is Alice."

Lily nodded and smiled brighter at Alice, "It is nice to meet you, Alice. Do you have any way can contact your parents? They must be worried sick about you."

Memories of Alice's father flashed through her head and she quickly shook her head and looked down, "I...I don't have parents."

"Oh my, I am so sorry, I didn't know," Lily said.

"It's okay ma'am, you, you couldn't have known," Alice said shaking away from the bad memories.

"Well, then, for the time being, you are more than welcome to stay with us," Lily said smiling softly at her.

Alice looked up at her in complete shock, "R-Really? Are, are you sure?"

"Of course! My husband and I would love to keep you here until we find a family for you. How does that sound?" the woman said standing up slightly

Alice took a moment to process her offer. "That...I-yes. Thank you, ma'am" Alice finally said deciding to take the woman's offer. Staying with them beat trying to survive on the streets.

Lily smiled and nodded happily, "I am glad you agree," she said as Cenn moved to the edge of the bed and looked at Alice, "I hope we can be friends, Alice!" he said smiling brightly
