Well at that point I was absolutely sure I was going to die. And honestly I was probably blushing. The entire night. Because that's just how I role. I think I just didn't notice anymore because it's super hot in the booth all the time. Ugh. The rest of the auditorium is frigid, I don't get it. Anyway, we had to finally get down to it. Finally, this dreaded day way here and at least it would be over with and I'd be done. So let's get to it.

"So what do you wanna know?" I said, trying to accept my fate.

"Well obviously I wanna know who you like." I was absolutely terrified that I was going to die in the next few hours, but I kept dodging the question and telling him I honestly thought that he'd be happier not knowing. Because honestly I was pretty sure that whatever you called the mess I was in now (I think most of the credit goes to Mirahn) was going to just ruin our friendship. And I really loved being friends with him. I wanted to be honest with him but shattering our relationship was going to really suck. Eventually after I kept making sure he was fully aware that I genuinely thought he'd be better off not knowing, I caved. I had to. Otherwise there would be a huge secret between us and it would be something I could have solved. Easily.

"Will you give me any hints?"

        I winced, "Okay."

"Wait actually I'm terrible at coming up with hints. Mirahn, do you have any?"

"Umm he's in 11th and in crew." That... was a lot, Mirahn. Like a ton. Like 2,000 pounds of bricks. I just turned to her and gave her a look. "Was that too much?"  she asked innocently. "Sorry, I'm sleep deprived."

"No, it's fine." I sighed heavily. I mean it wasn't really fine, but at least it'd be over soon. It'd be out in the open.

So then, as my anxiety increased, Mads pulled out his phone and started going through a list of names of guys in our class. "Ivan?"

        "Nooo we're friends, but no."

        "Nick?"

"Mm, nope." I chuckled a little bit. There had been a little bit of weirdness with that at one point, actually. But it's solved so we're fine.

        "Zane?"

"Oh heck no. Also friends, but forever just friends."

        "Wade?"

"...no. Wait would you even consider that? Really? Noooo."

He kept reading and asking. He read over the list over and over again and slowly said,

"The only one I haven't said is me..."

"Yep." I gave in, a little bit giddy that he had finally come to the conclusion and also terrified and dying inside.

"Okay... okay." He took it surprisingly well and I couldn't read him. Heeello anxiety. I don't even have anxiety! How do I manage this? Wait, I know. I'm just magic like that. Ignore my dorkiness. Back to the drama, then. Mirahn had been sitting through this and was finally done waiting. She was sick of it. She needed her drama, apparently. I guess her expectations were too high for us. So she said she was going to go onstage and yell it. Loudly. (Just a heads up, at this point, the dancers had all cleared out a while ago.) So we had the rainbow lights up on the Psych, because we can, and she went around backstage and just yelled:
"SHE LIKES YOU!!!" very loudly. Thank heavens we and the janitors were the only ones left in the school. She was a little too good at projection for my taste, considering the auditorium had really good acoustics. Good thing the janitors don't care about our interpersonal issues. I mean they weren't issues being worked out between us, but the three of us definitely have issues. So of course I'm still blushing, but I didn't even think about it anymore, as it had been so frequent that night. So we were about to pack up and Mirahn made it back up to the booth. We were discussing rides because I needed one, considering my mom had left me and gone to a meeting. Then someone said something (I know, so specific) and Mirahn blocked the door.

"Oh no, you're not getting out that easily. We're getting to the bottom of this."
