Initial Soulmates

Chapter 3

School finally ends and I head out of my last class of the day. As I'm walking, Chloe and Kaena join me as we walk to the student parking lot along with every other driving student eager to get out of here.

"You know what was weird in my photography class today?" I speak up since it was silent between the three of us.

"What?" They ask in unison

"Jayden transferred classes, so now he's in my class and apparently he loves photography so he's good. That's what Stella said anyways." I say shrugging

Chloe smirks. "I think Em has a stalker."

Kaena laughs and I have the urge to gag. "I literally asked him that in class and he said, and I quote, "Trust me babe, I'm not stalking you."' I say in a deep voice to mimic a guy and shutter at the memory.

"He called you babe? Okay, it's official, he's trying to get with you." Chloe states in a matter of factly tone.

Kaena speaks before I can say anything. "Agreed. But Em, you can't let him in, no matter how hot he is. He's bad.

I roll my eyes. "Kaena, you really think I'm that stupid?" I laugh a little, "There's no way I'm letting him in my life. Besides, why would he even want me of all girls? I'm nothing special." I remark as we walk outside to the parking lot.

That's when Chloe and Kaena both decide to smack me upside the head. "Ow! What was that for?!"

"That was for questioning why he would want you. You're gorgeous! Smart, funny, nice ass too." Chloe says snickering.

"Chlo's right Em. Your ass is nice." She laughs and I roll my eyes with a smile. "But seriously, who wouldn't want you?"

I'm about to answer when we hear another voice say "Hey Emery!"

I turn to find Justin Stevens jogging over to us to catch up. I smile at him, "Hey Justin, what's up?"

I can hear Chloe and Kaena giggle behind me and it makes me want to smack them upside the head, like they did to me just moments ago. Justin and I have been talking a lot this year and have gotten to know each other pretty well. He's a straight A student, like myself, and also has a perfect attendance record. He's also the captain of the football team and, just like Jayden, makes almost every girl in the school swoon. He's handsome in that "captain of the football team" kind of way.

He's got that OG Justin Bieber haircut but cut a little shorter so it's not in his eyes, which, by the way, are a deep ocean blue. They're gorgeous just like him. He's also 6'2", which is good for me being 5'7". He's even got a scholarship to Stanford University next semester, full ride. He's honestly the perfect guy and I sort of am hoping he's my soulmate.

When Justin catches up, he blushes a little when he realizes Chloe and Kaena were just giggling. "Oh, uh, hey Chloe hey Kaena." He waves awkwardly to them while they just smile big and wave back.

I roll my eyes while smiling at them and turn back to Justin. "Sorry, can't take them anywhere." I laugh.

Justin laughs as well which shows off his dimples, which are so cute on him I almost swoon right then and there. I control myself when his voice snaps me back, "So I was wondering if you were busy this Friday?"

"I don't think so" I turn to Chloe and Kaena and ask "do we have any plans this Friday?"

They both eagerly shake their heads no with huge cheesy smiles on their faces.

I laugh "Looks like I'm free. What's up?" I try to play it cool and not freak out so he doesn't see how eager I am to go out with him, if that's what he's gonna ask me.
