The next couple of days, I really try to think about this whole Jayden being my subject situation. I'm torn between doing it and not doing it. Not doing it would honestly be the best choice because it's Jayden and Jayden means trouble. But doing it would be a challenge, and I do love a challenge. I mean the whole assignment is a challenge, but using Jayden would be even more of a challenge. I decide to ask Stella about it on Friday in class, but away from Jayden.

The day drags on until it's finally time for photography. I'm the first one there, which isn't a surprise because I usually am. I talk to Stella now before Jayden shows up to make sure he doesn't hear the conversation.

"Stella, can I ask you something? It's about the assignment."

She claps her hands together once which makes me jump a little, "Yes! You're already thinking about it. Good. What did you need?"

"Well, I've found a subject that would actually be perfect because this person makes me uncomfortable and he pointed out that I don't even know him. I'm having trouble deciding on whether to do it or not. He's the one that approached me about it."

"Hmm, I'd say that would be perfect because the point of the assignment is to get out of your comfort zone. Whether it's someone who makes you uncomfortable that you don't know very well or going skydiving because you're too scared to do it. Who is this mystery guy?" Stella said the last part with a smirk while wiggling one of her eyebrows up and down.

I laugh a little and am about to tell her when the devil himself walks into the room. When I immediately shut up, Stella takes notice and makes a comment about it. Her eyes go a little wide when she realizes that I was talking about Jayden. "Emery, Jayden would be the perfect subject for you."

I groan and bury my head in my hands.

"What about me?" Jayden questions.

"Well Emery was just telling me that you suggested that you be her subject for the assignment and she was asking my opinion on it."

I peak through my fingers at Jayden to see him smirking at me. "Oh really? Been thinking about it Em?"

"Maybe. But only to benefit my photography portfolio for the end of the year. I was asking Mrs. Graham what she thought about it. Apparently you'd be the perfect subject for me." I sarcastically smile.

Jayden's smirk seems to grow when he hears this. "Well I'd be honored to be photographed by you Em."

I glare at him as Stella claps again "Perfect! Now Jayden just has to find his subject. Oh, and don't let him being your subject get in the way of his assignment also." She walks over to her desk as the tardy bell rings and begins class.

I'm still glaring at Jayden when he takes his seat across from me. "Listen Jayden, I need a good grade on this assignment. Not just for my GPA, but also to show my parents so that maybe they would see that I can actually get by being a photographer in the future." I didn't mean to share that much, but he makes me so frustrated and I tend to ramble when I get frustrated.

The smirk disappears for a second and is replaced with a look of... sympathy? I must be imagining things because it's gone within another second. "Yeah yeah, don't worry. I'm a great subject." He winks and then goes to his phone.

I roll my eyes and huff. I start praying that he won't mess this up for me, but before I start overthinking it, again, I think about tonight. The party is tonight and while I'm excited, I'm also nervous. Chloe and Kaena said that it would be fine and they would come over to my house to get ready and to help me get ready too. I already asked my parents and since I'm a trustworthy daughter, they said I could go but to be safe.
