Treeclan

The Clan of the Sociable and Astute

Treeclan's founder was a cat named Fallen Tree (later Treestar); a beautiful torbie molly with bright green eyes. She was a cat who came from a far away place, looking for a better life for her colony. Treestar is the one who came up with the idea of clans, and because of that her clan was the very first founded.

Territory:

Treeclan lives in a wooded area, condenced mainly of forest. Their camp is South-East of the Split Rock. They share borders with Oceanclan and Grassclan on opposite sides, and in between themselves and Grassclan they border Twolegplace

Camp:

Treeclan camp is made within the trees. The camp is in a clearing usually covered in leaf litter. The perimeter is covered by blackthorn bushes to keep enmies away. Their dens sit in a circle on the outer edges of camp. A stump sits at the northern central point of camp; it's refered it as the Great Stump, as it was once the base of a mighty oak tree that fell when Treeclan was formed. It's hollow underneath its roots, making a perfect home for the clan's leader. To the right of the Great Stump is the entrance to camp, a low branched Elm tree serves as a bridge in an out. To the right of the Entrance Tree is a large hollow tree with large roots strung with wisteria vines. Inside, under the roots, lies the nursery; it's very large and provides excellent shelter from the elements. Next to the nursery is a big, organized pile of tree branches covered in moss laying up against a very sturdy tree with brambles surrounding it. This settlement is the Elder's den. Next to that is a large tree with a hole about 10-20 feet up next to a thick sturdy branch. The hole is hollow inside and used as the warriors den. Next to that is a smaller tree with a similar set up, this tree is for the apprentice's den. Finally on the left side of the Great Stump is a lovely weeping willow. Similar to the Nursery, this tree provides the role of the medicine cat's den under the roots. It's said to be the warmest and safest den in the clan.

Landmarks:

Tree-dome- a clearning surrounded in a circle of trees where cats-mainly apprentices- are trained for battle

Rubble path- a small hill along part of the Oceanclan border covered in stones. Its an area usually populated by snakes in Greenleaf. It's also an area often fought over by Treeclan and Oceanclan

High Cliff- a cliff which is part of the Oceanclan border. it overlooks a portion of the beach which Oceanclan calls home.

Saggy tree- a tree with low hanging branches slighty off to the side of the High Cliff

Twoleg trail- a path in the middle of the forest often walked by twolegs

Twogleg Camp- a twoleg camping area where monsters and twolegs sometimes visit and stay in for a while during Greenleaf

Creek- a freshwater creek which runs through the territory from Grassclan's river out to the ocean

Body Types:

Pure Treeclan cats have medium coats (ranges from short thick fur to long feathery fur), muscular, long bodies, slightly elongated muzzles, small nimble paws, round medium sized ears, and thick paw pads. They can have tufts of fur on their eartips but not always. They are considered to be quite squirrel-like by outsiders. The usual coat colors favored by Treeclan are: Torties/Calicos, Ginger tabbies/bi color, Grey solid/bi color/tabby, Black solid/bi color/tabby, Grey-blue, Smoke, and Brown solid/tabbies/bi color. Tortoiseshell/Calico and Grey solid/bi color/tabby, are by far the most attractive to Treeclan cats. Common eyes colors within the clan are green, blue, yellow-green, brown. Green is considered most desirable. They seem to have a distaste for pure white, cream, and colorpoint pelts
