chapter 3| A Ghost From The Past

Skylar's POV

   

      I got up at around 6:30 and put on my workout clothes and running shoes. I tied my long brown hair in a ponytail and walked out the house. I always took exercising very seriously so I began to jogg. My mom said that my soon to be new school was in walking distance, so I decided I would jog to it. I put my ear buds in and was listening to The Vamps who were my favourtie band. After about five minutes later, I arrived at my school. It was pretty big. I saw the track that rapped around the field. I noticed three boys playing football, but I decided to ignore them, and just continue my jog. I kept running around the track not getting winded or tierd because I had really great stamana.

Nash POV

  Hayes my friend and I were all playing football  when we took notice to this really pretty girl that had started running around us. She looked familiar but she ignored us so we ignored her. We were having a good game until we decided to take a break. We sat in a huddle on the cold ground. The pretty girl continued to jog around us. She must have been on her seventh or eigth lap. We were all talking about how gorgeous she was, throwing whistles here and there. I don't think she could hear us. Hayes got  tired of talking about her so he said

"Fine if you guys like her so much, I'll get her attention for you idiots."

We all laughed and then Hayes did something really stupid. He took the football and threw it towards her. It landed right infront of her. She gave us the dirtiest look possible and took out her earbuds.

"Whats your problem you almost hit me you idiot."

"Ah yes but I didn't, I have very good aim."

Hayes said with a smirk. We chuckeld . she even laughed herself a little. She walked towards us and then I started to realize it was Skylar.

"Oh hey Nash."

She said with a friendly smile. I waved at her. I was too nervous to say anything I don't know why especially since we just met. All three of us boys stood up.

"This is my friend Cam-"

"Cameron, Cameron Dallas?" Skylar asked in surprise.

Cameron looked shocked but then quickly embraced her in a hug.

"Okay I'm confused " I said How do you two know each other?

"Skylar and  I used to go to the same  school, we were best friends when we were younger, she was my first crush.

Cameron  POV

   I looked at her and could tell that she was blushing. She was still as gorgeous as I could remember.

"Hey Skylar maybe we should hang out sometime?" Nash asked.

To be honest I was kind of mad, I knew her first and I wanted to ask her out and slip myself  back into her life. I knew that, that wasn't going to be easy. She would write to me and call but I just wouldn't reply. I was a jerk as a kid. But, I really did change. And now I finally had a chance to start all over again with her. Its not everyday that I get to fix my mistakes from the past.

"Yeah that would be great." Skylar said with a smile. I rolled my eyes without anyone seeing. They hugged and the next thing I knew she was jogging away.

Skylar POV

It was great seeing Cameron again. After all these years,  I mean it makes sense that he's still there. I turned around and asked all three boys to put their numbers in my phone. Then I went back to jogging and made my way home.

When I reached my house it was about 7:45 so I hopped in the shower and curled my hair. I never really cared for makeup so I put some mascara and a little bit of eyeliner on. Then I got my Hollister light blue washed jeans and my bergandi  v neck and placed my black converse on my feet I looked in the mirror and I looked good. I cleaned my room a bit and put on my black obey snapback. I walked downstairs and grabbed some cinnomin toast crunch. I looked at the clock and it was about 9:00. I grabbed my phone and saw that i had a message from Cameron.

Nash and I where wondering if u wanted to hang out.

Yeah sure,what time?!?

10:00

K Starbucks????

Ugh typical but k

Pick me up?

Yeah , send me ur address?

K

I sent him the address and shut off my phone. I wanted to find something to do while I waited for Cameron. I grabbed my laptop and watched the O2L boys for a long time. I heard the doorbell ring so I grabbed my phone and some cash and walked to the door. I saw cam wearing a black  magocn sweater, skinny kakys and black vans. I didn't know what to say cause he looked great.

Cam POV

She looked gorgeous even though it wasn't anything fancy. I swung my arm around her shoulder and smirked at the fact that she was blushing. We walked to my truck and hopped in.

"Are we picking up nash?" She asked with wide eyes

"Umm no he started to feel a little sick and canceled."

"Mhm." She said with a smirk as if she didn't believe me. I started the car and we were on our way to our little Starbucks date.
