"What do you mean he put you in his bed?" Naomi asked, suspiciously.
"That's exactly what he did. The guy is looney." Valora said, chewing on the red strawberry while she mopped the floor alongside with Naomi.
After she came back from Phoenix's bedroom, she wasn't feeling sleepy anymore.
She went back to the infirmary. A guard, told by Phoenix that she was residing there and was to be escorted back to her cell.
Good thing he didn't trust her enough to walk back alone. That meant things were back normal?
Why is she in such blatant denial of this? It has torpedoed her mind, sending her a wave of absurd animosity.
When they passed by the dinning hall, Valora decided might as well start on the cleaning.
Few minutes later, Naomi and Cathy entered and here they were.
"Looney? Try, manipulation. Maybe he wants to get inside your head and get you to confess about your other past activities." Cathy suggested as she placed new trash bags onto the dustbin.
"Probably." It had crossed her mind, he might be pulling strings to make her talk. Yet she couldn't even trust her own gut because she felt like he wasn't doing that.
Instead of wasting precious time, she switched topics."Where are we on the plan?"
Dropping a sack of potatoes on the corner, Naomi huffed. Taking a look around making sure no was there, she whispered. "Rodney can make it work."
That got her straightening. "Are you saying, when he comes next, he won't be leaving this place alone?"
"Uh huh." Cheek in tongue, she strode to where Valora was standing. "I do have a concern though."
"Okay." Already knowing where this was going.
"It's about the warden." Cathy interjected before Naomi could utter it.
Giving her a disbelieving look, Naomi said. "Really? I thought I was going to say that."
"You take too much time." Cathy shrugged.
"Listen! Nothing is going to happen with the warden. In fact last night proved it."
"This ought to be good. Hello? He put you in his bed after he caned you five times on your back. He is hella into you!"
"What? Noooo." Wow, she can't even lie to herself. "Okay, I heard that. Look, there is nothing to be concerned about this."
They both shared a look.
"What?" Valora snapped, demanding what that look was for.
"What if you bail on us? How can we trust you?"
"How about the fact that I haven't ratted on our plan. How is that for some trust!"
"What if the warden gives you an oral, then will you rat out on us?"
"First of all, that is not possible." Now, that image would stick. Him in between her legs, doing things that will forever make her...stop thinking about it.
"Got you picturing it?" Cathy smirked.
"Please..but on the more serious note, I am not failing us on this. We can make this work."
Naomi clicked her tongue, "Okay then. We hold you to it. The end of this month when Rodney comes for the delivery, we move. That gives us exactly three weeks. Cathy found that we are near Ireland, when we reach the coast we head for ship that takes Rodney to the mainland. Any luck on the guard timings?"
