---------------------Somewhere in the world, in a dense forest just after heavy rainfall. The woods were infamous for an ominous crater pasted over the forest ground. Instead of having its usual naturous green, a dark and terribly wide hollow penetrated the earth. All fear it's unknown purpose, and all stay clear of it at all costs... Except for the current teen who seems to have forgotten she stands not two feet from it. The girl holds an axe with determined hands, staring down her tree of choice. Perhaps it was the tree that drew her near, or was it?

Corella's POV
It's that moment when you realize that you don't accept who you are. I'm just starting to take my anger out on this tree, thinking it can just stand in my way. I feel my sweaty hard-like hands grip the handle of my hatchet. I swing another whack just to prove I can do it. But I'm not chopping the tree to prove others wrong- I'm doing it because I'm downright bored and fed up with my uneventful life.
I guess its peaceful out- with the beautiful sound of the wind blowing through the leaves. But what loses me on the calming nature around me is this damn tree. I've been focusing my pent up emotions with every indent I carve into its bark.
When I feel a particularly exhilarating rush of strength, I put everything I have into my swing. Before the edge of the weapon could make contact with the tree, my boots betray me and slip on the mud underneath me. I try to grab anything I can, but instead the breath is knocked out of my lungs. Following my landing, my legs hang off the end of a bottomless pit. Oh yeah... I really need to check my surroundings more often.
The Pit, great name I know, has been here for centuries. It's only about the size of a large boulder. It's been here ever since I can remember, and I definitely know that we're not supposed to go near it. You'd think the Guards would block it off, but even they won't go near the thing. It feels strangely cool as the air blows through my legs. It almost feels like winter and I shudder as it quickly begins to chill me to the bone.
I reach behind me to place my now scratched hands onto the ground but a rough hand startles me as it grips tight on mine. Holy spirits! I whip my head around and fumble in the firm hand's grip, my heart rate instantly increasing. When my eyes lock with the perpetrator, I quickly begin to relax, though not fully. My brother's opal eyes expectantly stare down my browned ones.
"Gosh Inmal, you nearly-"
"Why in the world are you near The Pit?!" He interrupts me. "Corella you know so much better-"
"Shut up!" I snap. If I already wasn't having a bad enough day. "Get lost I-"
"Totally wasn't about to fall?!" He puffs his checks out, facing growing hot with anger. Inmal's grip tightens more around my snatched hand, effectively portraying his rage. Even better, it was all directed to me, and personally, I'm not in the mood.
"Will you stop interrupting me!?" I growl.
His hand is still on mine. He pulls me up in a brutal manor nearly sending me stumbling back to the ground again. I look down; he's got a basket of some sort in his left hand. If now was a time to nitpick, I guess this is a grand time.
"What's in the basket, hog?" Sure, I'm a bit old to act so childish and stubborn, but he pissed me off beyond belief just by showing up.
He stares at me- obviously full of annoyance. His green eyes shimmer in the sunlight, and they narrow. His hair is all shades of blonde with hints of brown. Inmal's got the perfect features, nothing to explain really. Perfect, just perfect. Then there's me: quite plain and simple... well except for a few freckles I may have, I'm just an average girl, nothing else to be said about it. My bust is practically nonexistent and my waist is somewhat slim. Maybe that's why I have no desire to see Inmal today... he's what I'm most jealous of.
